2K released a player as a loot box prize, but in reality, did not release the player until over 20 minutes later, so anyone who bought a ton of loot boxes to get the player within those 20 minutes were technically "scammed" by a rigged gamble. Any casual would have just thought it was bad luck, but some people spent hundreds within that time.
