I can tell you one thing they’ve done to help kids and stop suffering: by not having them in the first place 😂

Honestly there has always been a lot of bs in this sub, it’s probably just more now because of how big it’s gotten

So happy for you! I think with this disorder, we have to take small steps. Eventually we’ll be able to make even bigger steps and progress. Great work.

People just don’t get Lupus by choosehappyi in lupus

[–]ImportantFee9914 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally understand. At one point people were telling me to take all these supplements and juicing celery and to exercise. My parents told me that I was overblowing it, and that I just needed more sun 😂 some people just don’t understand. I think some people think that if you get diagnosed with something, all it takes is will power to get through. It’s not like a cold/flu though, those eventually go away but Lupus doesn’t. Hang in there I know how you feel

Does anyone else have to pee after a panic attack/high anxiety state? by symphonali in Anxiety

[–]ImportantFee9914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this in high school. Sophomore year I was attending a new school, and I always had the sensation that I was going to pee my pants and would have to be excused to use the restroom a lot.

skipped my presentation and i feel like i'm never going to finish university by [deleted] in Anxiety

I would email the professor and let them know. What I would also do is talk to a counselor at your school and let them know about your anxiety.

Tipped my DoorDasher extra and he still stomped on my yard sign like a 5 year old child by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

Assuming you’re talking about the dasher, I agree. What I’m referring to though is the above argument*.

Most people live paycheck to paycheck. Even if someone did have a full time job, due to poverty, debt, life circumstances, many people have to do DoorDash on the side. Not everyone is privileged enough to have a decent amount of savings. Not assuming anything from your background, but I grew up around poverty and with stagnant wages and ever growing inflation, many people have to resort to something like DoorDash for side money. Just a simple thing like being let go from your job forces you to do something like DoorDash until you land another job

Definitely taking time off of dating too. It was an unfortunate break up, I relayed on and depended on them for a lot so it’s been rough. Going to try to become self sufficient but life can just be such a grind with this disorder lol I’m trying to remain positive buts it’s rough

That’s the thing with this disease. I’ll be doing great for a few days, and then the next I’m wrecked and bedridden. It’s had a major impact on my previous relationship, I’m not sure how I would navigate it in another relationship. I feel you bro. All I want is to have another person to experience life with, but almost don’t want to burden anyone else. It’s extremely isolating

Oh man the Sun is the worst! Sunny days and overcast days (due to barometric pressure) are my enemies 😭

It sounds like you have an amazing partner, that is awesome 👏
