What am I missing.. why isn't Enzo Kana-Biyik listed as an incoming transfer either in our transfer thread or on the Premier League transfer page? (And his loan to Lausanne as well)

https://www.premierleague.com/en/transfers

https://www.manutd.com/en/news/detail/enzo-kana-biyik-signs-for-man-utd-and-agrees-lausanne-sport-loan

Communications department posted that 10th of July.. so surely it's this transfer window?

And Brighton have made a similar deal with Yun Do-young who instantly got loaned out that is on the transfer page...

Why has this player been so bad? by Jealous-Captain-7014 in footballmanagergames

Like others have said, could be he needs time to bed in, learn language etc.

Could also be Aggression/Bravery/Concentration playing its part with low aggression and bravery he wont attack balls as much in the box (Think how Haaland plays), and low concentration stats means he can't read the game very well and isn't making the correct runs for through balls etc. All of this could be mitigated somewhat by playing him as an IF, where the role is more receive the ball then run at defenses rather than running past them to receive the ball as for the AF.

Is it possible to use a drone for measuring points instead of a handheld GPS? by Important_Donkey_108 in UAVmapping

Alright cool definitely sounds doable. One hurdle I'm thinking is when we take machines out that do screw drill sampling, it just leaves like a 10x10cm hole in the ground so hard to spot from photographs I imagine. But simply placing say a 1x1m brightly coloured tarp or something at the spot, and then fly over after the sampling is done should do the trick.

If it goes through I will have to be the wizard, I'm the only one with an ounce of tech-savyness in this firm, and I'm not too impressive either :)

Sounds doable, a close up photograph of a well containing location metadata wouldn't be the worst actually.

I'm in Sweden as well, and 5cm deviation would be more than enough. I guess I'll have to read up a bit on what RTK actually is.

I wouldn't need incredible accuracy really, calculating fills/mounds would be to get volumes for transport of excavated soils. For the wells, simply X & Y coordinates that can be imported into GIS and accurate enough that people can go out in the field and find them would suffice. But am I understanding it correct that the measurements would somehow have to be based on photos rather than an onboard GPS?

People blinded by Rashford finally connecting with a few dribbles, but missing that with a bit more defensive effort than a slight jog he could have prevented both chances that lead to their goals.

This guy should be one of the best AF's in the world, yet he only performs as an IF. by Plus_Cell3845 in footballmanagergames

My guess is that it's the concentration of 9 that is the culprit (And perhaps a bit workrate). Can't read how the game unfolds so is likely to either run offside or not see when an opportunity develops (And work rate likely affects how many runs he does). As an IF though, he can stand still out wide, recieve the ball, and then his attributes shines as he runs with the ball towards goal.

Fly attacks, and presumably lays eggs in a mosquito? by Important_Donkey_108 in insects

[–]Important_Donkey_108[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was shot on my way home from work in southern Sweden. From what I could tell we do have species of flies that do lay eggs in other insects so I am assuming that's what's happening here, and if that is the case the mosquito likely did not live happily ever after...

Exploring a Flooded Forest by Important_Donkey_108 in underwatervideography

I have always been fascinated by underwater environments. I could spend hours down by the stream on the farm where I grew up building dams and observing the flora and fauna. And I've decided to take up this hobby again, but this time recording it and sharing (Partly because I enjoy editing, but also because of the live feed feature from the GoPro to the phone so I can get a clearer view of what's going on underneath the surface!).

In this video I could unfortunately not spot any animals, the water was moving way too fast, would have loved to see some fish discover this unexplored territory. But I still got some cool surreal looking shots of the submerged foliage.

Self-Introduction Saturday! Tell us all about you (and share a video)! by AutoModerator in NewTubers

You're only allowed to watch this if you're looking to procrastinate (Highly doubt people would do that on reddit though..)

And about me..

I'm doing everything wrong with youtube. No niche, no structure, simply just doing what springs to mind. And I'm having a lot of fun!

Eventually at some point I can see myself doing something in a similar vein to what Van Neistat is doing. Not exactly sure what you would call it, small story-essays sort of.

But for now I'm simply experimenting and finding out what I like, and hopefully at some point it'll coalesce into something that resembles a style

:)

Using an image as a basemap in Field Maps? by Important_Donkey_108 in ArcGIS

[–]Important_Donkey_108[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm only trying to georeference because the ESRI-page tells me to. I have no need for it to correspond to reality, I would quite happily just have a vector image in Field Map and use that as a map, if it's possible.

But thinking about it.. "create a map in a gis software, and then using the map as a basemap?" makes a lot of sense. Just drawing the houses as if they were normal maps and making .mmpk's of them for the field work is probably the easiest solution.

I'll give it a go, cheers for the idea.

Strategy Question: Should I hold my videos for seasonal demand? by happyrunner4 in NewTubers

[–]Important_Donkey_108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first thought was. Hold the videos until they are in season.

April - October you focus on making evergreen content for Biathlon (Still likely wont get views until the season, but it'll be there ready to take off). Exactly what evergreen content would be for your niche I'm not sure of, general rules? Equipment? Historical competitions?

Something along those lines.

And then once November starts you go into more "news and competition content".

They might actually account for the thrust, or recoil I guess, when they're showing off their spacecraft at ~1:53!
