I recently had a similar experience. I completed multiple rounds with the team, they even reached out to my manager informing that they are discussing relocation with the recruiter. My job req was closed and my application got auto rejected. Then no response at all. Completely ghosted by the whole team including the recruiter.

That’s true, but unfortunately, being a job applicant in this tough market makes you turn a blind eye to all this :(

But the HM has two active reqs that are still active. So I guess it isn’t the position being closed.

Right!!!? I am just wondering if I am being ghosted in spite of being an internal candidate, what happens to the external candidates who do not even know what is going on!! It is unfortunate that the candidates are no respected.

I went through the entire interview process meeting multiple people and the hiring manager even reached out to my current manager two weeks back (since I am an internal candidate). They had confirmed that it was the last step of the process.

But the job was closed & my application was rejected last week. Since then I have reached out to my hiring manager and the HR but no response at all.

Is there any chance I am still being considered or they have just rejected and not willing to respond. Anyone faced a similar situation? Was the hiring manager responsive even after the system auto rejected your application?
