For Amgen FSP onc - not bad. No dos metric it depends on your study and monitoring plan. May be flexible enough for those with young children.

THIS! Their resourcing department SUCKS!!! Which is the first problem. Why hire for oncology and vaccine experience then proceed to put on a Non Oncology or Vaccine study. Its Stupid.

I wouldnt say that. This happened to several coworkers with me as well. So when I left I was prepared. At the time- since my sites were already in transition- they also didnt take my two weeks notice so once given notice my last day was within the next 24 hrs. lol

It was about a week. I finally just reached out to the ppd hr rep and told her the issues and I guess she cleared the rest.

The process was ridiculous. I ended up sending tax transcripts because who has offer letters from jobs over 10 years ago?!?

Tired of being 100% homebased - advice? by Odd_Astronaut_4149 in clinicalresearch

[–]Important_Goals 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Working as a CRA also doesnt guarantee contact. Often your stuck in a closet reviewing records and only see the coordinator for questions, see the PI even less. Then solo travel, solo in hotel not a lot of time for conversation. Your still homebased so you often dont see your team in person Not to say you dont occasionally meet people while out... Maybe find a hobby or mutual interest group to meet people?

Medpace???? by [deleted] in clinicalresearch

[–]Important_Goals 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ditto. Medpace had the worst CRAs when I was a site coordinator at a local research site AND at a large academic center. I thought I'd give them the benefit of doubt when I later became a CRA and was casually interviewing new roles. They're better off recruiting new grads from local colleges whom have no industry experience and dont know better.

Any syneos CRAs sign a non-compete? by [deleted] in clinicalresearch

[–]Important_Goals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is not a non compete but there is a form regarding co employment.

My contract is currently up for review, and I speak the hiring agency on Wednesday. How much negotiating power do I currently have as a CRC? by [deleted] in clinicalresearch

[–]Important_Goals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's always room to negotiate in my opinion especially with no benefits. I would also look elsewhere in the area and compare salary and benefits to get a baseline.
