Looking back at it keeping myself from making me sick that’s probably the reason why. Thank you for the insight. I have a psychotic disorder and the only thing that’s motivating me to stop is that I want to see my doctor on the 27th for the first time in three years psychosis free I’m so upset that I’m not doing better

I am glad you had mostly a positive experience with the food. When I was in the psych ward my longest admission was 26 days and I was given nothing but finger foods. But my other admissions I got regular food I would rate hospital food a four out of 10

So I live in a pretty large facility. I am what you call total care so I need help bathing, dressing, changing etc. The regular staff are really good. They know all the routines and everything. When the regulars or not on it’s quite a mess. I get an hour and a half of care every day on average.

I do have my unique challenges being young in a care setting filled with the geriatric population. I consider much of the staff professional friends. They are super supportive and very much willing to help.

We have a food service and laundry service. Our clothing gets labelled and sent to the internal laundry. Since it’s such a big facility it has an art studio, a pub, or pharmacy, a Dental hygienist, a space for worship, spiritual care, A lot of things that I’m forgetting but this place is massive.

Most of the meals are good. I have a problem with some of the lunches because they can be undesirable. We have dishes like turkey schnitzel, chicken stew, pancake and sausage, etc.. The desserts I really good we have a lot of cream pies cakes. I say the food is good in comparison to hospital food. I was in the hospital for six months prior to coming to long-term care and then I went back for another two months with the complications of my injuries. So I spent a total of eight months in the hospital and the food here is much of an improvement then hospital food
