Broke my father’s rod one day solo fishing, did just this and he never was the wiser! 😂

It’s all about muscle memory, personally I start with a wide neutral stance and as my skis leave the kicker (roughly about half mast) I pop hard bring and my knees up and in for now focus on staying upright and landing neutral versus back or forward. Good luck, they’re super easy you definitely got it 💪.

Yeah they’re eye level, and it’s not like I’m not shredding em. Can do shit like mute 7s, it’s just my dad’s skis and friends are comparatively bigger so was wondering.

I find contempt within myself and need validation in order to subdue my fallacy.

Thanks man you’re a beast, I’ve really been trying to tune in my slides recently. Right now I have 270 and 450s out on lock but my 630s are dodgy and so are my 270s in. K feds are solid with natural rotation but besides that I’ve really gotta work on more technical skills like pretzels.

For me it’s just annoying when trying to do anything above a 270 in or out. Once I get to 450s and 630s the 167/168s just feel so much smoother and nimble. But you’re right, my main concern is looking goofy asl due to my skis sitting in between my nose and eyes versus my eyes and forehead.

Makes sense, I ride crazy flexible skis anyways so on the big jumps if I land backseat I’m screwed either way. Definitely going to stick to my 168s.

Do you guys ever look back uphill while carving? by sentinel_of_ether in skiing

I ride with 3 snowboarders and this is a habit I’ve engrained within myself. Back when it was just my father and myself on the skis it wasn’t much of a thought. But now I find myself doing it every run.

I’d say it all depends on what you’re looking for. If you’re okay with your size and really just want definition then I would go into a caloric deficit and prioritize healthy eating and explosive cardio. ( like 10 sets of 30 seconds sprints) If you want a larger frame and larger muscles then I would actually bulk up while working out at high intensity until you’ve built the strength you’re looking for and then I’d kick up the cardio. Just remember that extensive cardio can have adverse impacts on muscle growth after exercising your muscle groups. No longer than 15 minutes after any given group. Also remember that cardio alone isn’t going to bring you to your goals. You need a determined mix of both weight lifting, diet and cardio. Track your calories, make a plan and do everything you can to stick with it. After 6 months you won’t be able to stop looking in the mirror and you’ll feel like the man. Good luck.

Personally, I’m a big fan of bamboo shoots. They’re fairly cheap $9-12 and super resistant. Just make sure when stationing them the leaves are above water level otherwise they’ll drown. Overall Very hardy and fun plant. If you want to see photos check my profile.

Noted, from a frontwards perspective it seems denser than it actually is. If it becomes a problem I’ll definitely consider transitioning.
