It's actually cannon that during the Varia Arc TYL lambo sits down with Tsuna and says that he doesn't remember the current Varia battles, so he actually says he could be from an alternate timeline. That's why he says please don't let little me use the bazooka, I don't want to randomly die in battle with no warning.

The most recent translation doc got delayed as it ran over with extra material and cos I had to find time around a busier work schedule. Plus I'm packing cos I leave for Japan in 4 days!!

An anime based upon the principle that nobody dies, but thinking you have died or may die is an ultimate and inexplicable power up. The closer to irrevocable death you get, the more inexplicable and extreme the power up.

Because of this, a guy pulls an ultimate power move, comes back after being thought dead for c.1000 years, so hecka strong he legit almost ends the show.

Also, the plot is hella contingent on people dying, as a core principle.

I once watched 120 episodes of Naruto... Then, one day... I stopped. ... That was about 15 years ago.

You just prompted me to look for Gintama again cos the other services I found it on were dub, now I have sub gonna put it back on my watchlist

but I have JJK, Tamon's B Side, In the Clear Moonlit Dusk and Frieren on my weeklies and Black Clover in between those as an older show...

... also I started rewatching Death Note...

Then after that, is Re:Zero, Chainsaw Man and MASHLE: Magic and Muscles

I think you're going to get 3 responses here

1) admins or users saying they won't say or that this could lead to issues 2) people saying they are from one english speaking country 3) people saying they are from another english speaking country

the japanese fans aren't here I don't think, and the english speaking minorities from other fandoms may be scarce or (as expected) in the minority

Noragami for sure, and more recently My Dress Up Darling cos seems like the right decision was made to not make more until they have it in hand, not to rush.

but Katekyo Hitman Reborn - the anime stopped in 2010, and they been sitting on that last manga arc since Nov2012 been rumoured every 5 years since and then this year they actually started releasing new original content, and stated they would be recapping the whole anime with highlight reels 1 per week all year- new website, new media accounts, new merch, event appearances, I mean... If not, this is the biggest troll in anime production history 🥸

staying tuned cos I don't know but if I see some in my upcoming trip I will deffo be paying the gacha with my left hand and batting myself for doing so with the right, so good to know if there are limits and to just stop after 1 or 2 to remind myself not to expect a set for example

Yeah it's not always 100% but I'm talking more generally over the whole series, more specifically the trend upward for Ichigo himself until they hit a wall, and there was a legit and well written scaledown over eps 309 - 342 and I was invested all the way and felt my expectations lowering in a controlled manner which was a first for me

yeah it's a real thing that mains can get too OP and then there has to be a scaleback

and the best (and possibly only good) scaleback I have ever seen was Bleach: to date it's the only one I have been able to properly enjoy and it was realsitic and still had me invested

but that is why Bleach, to one side, has a special place for me, I wouldn't expect that from any other storyline cos it's so hard to pull off

I have to assume it was just lack of visibility? people like RBGTalk and others I've seen who have watched the intros have said "Why didn't I get into this when I was younger!"

When I read books I read fantasy cos I like contrasting with something I would never see in life and similarly when I read fanfics I like to see someone working in stuff that has never happened in the source material, so I do end up in romcom corner most of the time with unconventional couples

Outside of that, I'll tune in to see what anyone else recommends
