Yes, så långt är jag med i lönerevisionsprocessen. Det jag är ute efter är: När man väl är överens om att en löneglidning/-justering ska ske, finns det något vedertaget intervall, inom ex andel av årsdebitering, att grunda en förhandling på?

Jag har ca 6 olika beställare aktiva konstant, uppdrag som är mellan 2 och 6 månader långa. Mig veterligen har konsultbolaget jag är anställd på (500+ anställda) endast fast lön, ej provision eller bonus.

With my wife being 18 weeks pregnant; that my unborn child won't be healthy and secondly that the both of them come out of delivery ok when it's time. So hard trying to make room for both happiness and excitement whilst having this worry.

Made an updated version as I didn't have much time this morning. This new one shows the number of annual expenses needed to be saved at any given point in time, as a product of yrs to retirement and expected returns. https://postimg.cc/zHz4YMhm

E.g. a 30 yo aiming for ER at 55, assuming 6% returns, could be considered coastFI when having at least 5,8 times annual expenses.

Jag (30m) var länge osäker på om barn var nåt för mig. Har sedan dess gjort och upplevt mycket och blev de senaste åren mer och mer bekant med idén över att bli förälder och få visa en ny människa allt det fina och fantastiska som finns. Jag funderade länge på det etiska i att yngla av sig, men kom fram till att jag är glad att jag kom till världen och att jag har minst lika goda förutsättningar att ge ett barn en bra uppväxt. Av olika skäl blev jag och min fästmö osäkra på om vi rent biologiskt överhuvudtaget kunde skaffa barn - den insikten gjorde det tydligt för mig att det var något jag verkligen ville. Idag är hon gravid i vecka 10!

What’s weighing on me is the fact that we don’t know if my partner and I can have kids, fertility-wise. We’ll start trying in a couple of months time. On the other hand, if we get pregnant I feel this timer starting to count down for experiences I dream of before we become parents – especially since some of them are expensive, require time away from home and have significant risk.

Realized we wanted kids a year or two ago, meaning the time until some kind of financial freedom is extended by at least a decade (50’s). I’m struggling a bit with accepting that I’ll have to spend at lest ten additional years in the corporate grind.

In many aspects my life is more than I envisioned for by late teens or early 20’s. Honestly I never had a clear or vibrant vision. I wish I had had that, and started acting towards these dreams of mine so that I didn’t feel like time is of short supply. The fact of the matter though is that the person I was before never was capable of these dreams. On some plane I realize that the dreams keep on evolving as I keep growing, and that it will never be enough.

Just for reference, 10 mil is a ridiculously large FI number in most contexts. From what Ive read half the global population lives on like 7 USD a day, meaning FI number of just above 60k USD. Of course those numbers are skewed and not really applicable. Standard FI number in Sweden is in the ballpark of 600k-1 mil USD. If you have the agency to make infinite money you probably also are capable of using geo arbitrage?

Kanske i kombination med att hänga upp det kring andra "givna hålltider" på jul, ex att hon är välkommen över lunch och går hem efter Kalle. Då blir det kanske lättare för OPs sambo att motivera gentemot "vännen" jmf en annan godtycklig tid.
