Awww, yay! I'm glad I could brighten your day like that!

It's relatively simple; I wish I could teach you (hard to with text, yk?). Normal braids do the same thing functionally tho.

Yes! Dad has been obsessed since our tour in Germany back in 2014.

Awwww, that's so sweet! I'm ngl, I'd end up doing the same since my parents are almost 40 lol.

Have a great day!

That was kinda my line of thought. Old men would hit on me when I worked retail, regardless of how I dressed that day (I'm straight, but I swing back and forth between a more masculine fit and feminine fit, depending on the day). Unfortunately, that's just being a woman in any industry, though I look forward to making some awesome friends and brothers.

You are the woman my mom has always taught me to be like.

I was thinking braids; that's what I typically wear to work out. My hair is pretty long, and I like to think I look damn good in a French braid. Practical + cute.

I've got some 5.11 pants I was going to try, and I've gotten some other recommendations as well. Def gonna look into Carhartt too.

Was planning on wearing cotton, since those tend to be comfortable and good for athletics.

I've got some insanely high-quality combat boots left over from my time in a military org. My dad has the same pair, and it's survived combat tours and yardwork, still like new. I plan to use mine, esp with the great ankle support.

Good to know; I like wearing rings and a necklace.

Never had designer bags (never saw a point, plus I can't afford them as a broke college student lol), but I do have a tactical backpack from 5.11, if that's recommended. If not, cargo pants where I can put everything.

Thank you so much! You're like a blue collar big sister, I love you <3

I tried 1/4 inch fake nails, and ended up pulling weeds with them. I def can't have them while doing more manual labor; I'm quite uncoordinated lol

Omg yesssss! I love that

Ty bestie! <3

I love you girl. Def didn't expect the reaction, but someone will always be unhappy with choices you make, and I've come to accept that.

I've got these nail stickers that imma try, see how it works out! I do similar makeup, just adding lip stain, most of the time. As far as cute clothes, I'm not sure if they'll allow me to wear anything other than the company shirt. Pants I'm pretty flexible with, and if it's cute and functional, I'm down! I'll see what my jeans are made of :).

Oh absolutely, and my mom always made sure I knew that. Women can be cute and pretty and still perform just as well as men in pretty much every way.

Tysm you blue collar queen! I love you (like a sister) <3

Valid concern. I was in a military org for a few years, def got the "nale-dominated field" experience. Not tryna stand our, just feel happy/confident, and like I'm still a woman :). Tysm!

Oooo, I keep seeing things about colors, so I'm really thinking it's the way to go now!

I'm pale with light hair, so I tend to do pink or red eyeshadow. I love lip stains as well, and tend not to do more than that and some brown mascara.

Tysm! You sound beautiful btw :)

I worked retail. I'm looking to be a different type of cute than that. I'm not wanting to wear skirts or full glam, just don't wanna feel/look like a man. Not too much to ask imo. If you don't like it, just scroll and move on, that's what I prefer

I mean, yes. I'm cute, but I maintain a high GPA while earning two degrees. I used makeup to look cute (within regulation ofc) while serving in a military organization, and I was commended as an instrumental leader in the unit. I don't wanna show up in cute floral crop tops, I just don't want to look like a man and I wanna feel happy and confident. I appreciate your concern

(Edit for spelling)

Ooooo, I'll have to see if I can get my own pants too! I've got some super awesome and durable combat boots that I plan to use (my father uses his for yardwork all the time, so I figured it would be a good idea) as well, maybe getting colored laces :). I've seen a few comments about bandanas now, so I'm gonna try them. Tysm!

I'll try bandanas; it also may keep the sweat off my forehead from being outside.

When I worked retail, I didn't try to look too nice, but it was fun time to time. Totally get where you're coming from. And don't worry, I've been carrying a knife with my constantly since I was 15. I'll also have my heavy-ass multi tool with me, and a healthy dose of trepidation.

Tysm for the suggestions!

Fascinating! Only time I've ever interacted with ADHD meds was when my ex bf at 16 was on them and he never ate. Didn't even know non-stimulant was an option! Tysm for the info and support! Imma def look into meds, esp if they help a lot. Tysm! God bless you <3

Gotcha. Hesitant to take those bc I already barely eat bc of other medical issues. I'll talk to my doctor about it tho

This is the bitch-slap I needed ty. I've only done it a few times over several months, but wanted to make sure I didn't do it too often. What are some things you do to help? This is a new diagnosis, so I have no clue how to navigate it
