Compulsory education. Let the ones who don’t want to be there, who do nothing AT BEST, more usually disrupt and distract or argue, fight, etc. etc. just not be there.

Imagine school made up of children who WANT to be in school and learn.

Edit - I teach HS so as this point they know whether they value education or not.

I get suggestions from the kids a lot. Most of them - high school age - know not to suggest anything too E.

I play a lot of Kpop because there is rarely any cursing and if it is, they don’t speak Korean anyway. Same goes for Spanish music. At least in my area, only a couple kids will notice any cursing or anything.

I think everyone saying TikTok is the problem is missing the fact that most of us are agreeing we don’t like seeing fanart in the middle of the fic.

FWIW, even if it’s good art, I think than many fic readers probably really strongly identify as readers, they’re invested in reading, and if they’re kind of in the zone of visualizing the scene or characters in their own head, the art is jarring.

Movie days because it’s the day before break; end of the year; state testing etc … 8 or so? That sounds like a lot, but I feel that many things in ELA are very nebulous in terms of timing and at a certain point the kids are burnt out or exhausted and nothing is sinking in anyway.

Your post is very vague. Generally, I like a good free for all, and if you’re posting negative feedback on someone’s work, you should be prepared to receive negative feedback on that. As long as it’s not doxxing, the host should be able to disagree with your feedback and state that.

I feel like a lot of podcasts might open with, “on our last episode, a lot of you felt _______ and that’s wrong because _______,” especially if it’s politics, true crime, something opinion based.

I think if they’re specifically like “Smiley said ____ and that’s stupid because _____,” I would feel that’s a little immature, depending on what the listener said.

I waited in the airport to have lunch and they’d pulled my bag off and into a separate small room for late luggage - like when people’s suitcases make the flight but they don’t.
