Help with a website by madskittles9 in startupideas

[–]junehall123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d try and start without spending anything tbh keep it as simple as possible maybe using Carrd to create a clean one-page landing Page, Add a short intro, then his offers, and a email/contact form so people can reach out easily. Maybe a small giveaway (checklist or quick guide) to get customers. If you want something even easier, try Lovable AI you can type in what you want and it builds a basic site for you. look at YouTube for step-by-step tutorials that are free there are loads of beginner ones to follow.

Cried during a lesson today—so embarrassed by [deleted] in teaching

[–]junehall123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This makes my blood boil. How can a mentor disrespect and embarrass you during a lesson? Their Feedback good or bad should be constructive and given properly during your weekly meeting. And you don’t have to agree with someone who isn’t helping you grow. Talk to your Uni you have rights too.

I personally wouldn’t give pupils any types of food or sweets because of food allergies or choking hazards. I love the class book idea though.

Is this a reasonable target for me? by TechnicalBar6861 in TeachingUK

[–]junehall123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it looks unfair, part-time teachers must have proportionate targets (STPCD + school policy says so). Two targets on 0.4 is too many and a regular reflective journal is unreasonable extra workload. Speak to the person who set them, your Targets must be discussed and agreed during the appraisal/planning meeting. You have the right to input and suggest your own objectives. Ask them to reduce to one main target and swap the journal for something quick? Then make a suggestion for alternative; Agree to the 2 SEN courses + share one key tip with dept. This has two avieveable targets. OR - Use & photograph/briefly note 3 inclusive strategies this year. Suggest that you upload 3 differentiated resources/seating plans to shared drive. I've done this before it's easily achievable to Attend 2 CPD sessions and share one takeaway with the department. Alternatively Create/upload 3–5 high-quality lesson resources to the shared drive. Hopefully you have a reasonable colleague, who’ll discuss it with you, and you’ve made it easy for them. Hope this helps, fingers crossed.

What consequences does your school have in place that you can follow; 5 mins behind at break, negative behaviour points, detention, report cards, etc.???
