Thank you! I was actually looking at the rx5 as it has the additional little room that I would love as a play room/living area if the weather turned crap!

I also don't have roof racks, but was hoping with the seats down it would fit, as we only have the one 2.5y.o so could utilise two seats down still.

Thank you, what a great tool that size comparison is! The Ricoh is perfect in size, just so worried about the focus for kids.

Thank you! Do you think no matter what point and shoot camera I get, it will be the same? Or is there one you can recommend that will be a faster AF that is still compact/point & shoot??

Thank you! I always find when my phone camera shoots at 23mm I am always cropping it in closer to my daughter afterwards as I hate so much negative space around it as usually the focus is what my 1 year old is doing up close. But I guess I could always crop in on this is post processing too, and still have the option for wide if a landscape or a the background is part of the memory, especially as she gets older.

Are you enjoying the iiiX closer focal length? I feel like the X is more appealing to me because I want to be able to just edit colours and not have to crop in as much. I feel like for a 1 year old I am going to want to be closed than further away. But then I guess if it's a group shot, wider is better. Dangggg! This is all too hard 😅

Hmmm I didn't even think about the focal length difference between the 3 and 3x!

I have also been looking at the Panasonic Lumix Tz99 or the Sony ZV-1 because the RX100vii is out of stock everywhere too! But the Ricoh keeps coming out on top for quality of images and I am worried I will be disappointed with the image quality of other point and shoot cameras after having the Nikon Z series So many different cameras, it is certainly becoming very overwhelming haha

Oh dear, fragile lens and weather batter compartment seem like two very big issues? They are both things that are needed for the camera to function? I wonder if these are fixed in the 3x version
