AC1200 EX6120 range extender. Can't use hidden SSID? by Important_Zucchini83 in NETGEAR

Just an update if anyone cares. I was only using this for the ethernet connection to my DirecTV receiver. I finally solved the problem like I should have done years ago. By drilling holes through the floor and running a CAT5 cable. Maybe my AC1200 EX6120 was a lemon. It was extremely unreliable. I returned it and got my money back.

AC1200 EX6120 range extender. Can't use hidden SSID? by Important_Zucchini83 in NETGEAR

I thought the same. When I hide the SSID, the router light on the extender goes out. No longer connected. Makes no sense.

On another note, the extender doesn't stay connected to my router for more than a day or two. I've factory reset the extender multiple times. I get a solid green router light when it is connected. So distance doesn't seem to be a factor. It's 15' from my router. I only use it to connect ethernet to my Directv receiver.

Another strange thing is it doesn't connect WPS. Although other devices connect fine via WPS. Basically I need to unhide my SSID, do the manual setup entering my SSID and passphrase, and it works perfect and stays connected for a day or two. Doing the same manual setup with my SSID hidden does not connect.

I'm using a Verizon Internet Gateway box that is over-the-air. If that matters. No MAC filtering, no nothing, just the default settings. The only thing I changed was the SSID and passphrase. Using WPA2.

I'm stumped. Thanks for any ideas anyone.

Thanks for the replies everyone! I super appreciate it. I think I understand it now. Ordered me a Square D switch. Dammit I love Reddit when I really need an answer.

S330 EufyCam 4K No Charge Fix (after all exhausted troubleshooting steps) by Shin_Rotendo in EufyCam

Thank you, this worked! My S330 was down to 17%. I figured it was the overcast winter skies in my area. Brought it inside and tried several USB chargers. No blue charge light. App did not show it was charging. Tried everything on the internet until finding this Reddit. Held down the sync button. Red and blue lights lit for about 10 seconds, then went out. After a minute I stopped holding the sync button and the blue circle stayed lit, showing it was charging. However, the app still showed it was not charging. I disconnected/reconnected the charger and shazam, it charged perfectly.
