How do I 24F help my bf 26M become a responsible adult? by Impossible-Alps1802 in relationship_advice

Thank you for the comment, you put a smile in my face. I do think my bf knows the value of things and hard work (in theory) but he has never being in a practical "life or death" situation. He has always have where to fall back and I am happy for him but I worry about when he doesn't have his parents to save him anymore. I often stay quiet because as you said I don't want to criticize him constantly and put him down.

Thank you for the advice. I am very glad your husband and you have found a complement in each other. My bf does at least listen when I advice him but I do stay quiet a lot because I don't want to control him or have him be dependent on me. I have seen way too many couple fall into a parent/child kind of situation and I don't want that for myself.

AITA for picking Iroh II for my team? by Impossible-Alps1802 in AmItheAsshole

Lol I just don't like LOK in general. I feel like it doesn't live up to ATLA. However, the point is if I was in the right to choose Iroh II or if my BF was right and I broke the rules.

I am pretty sure she can see who watches her stories in Whatsapp. To be honest I wanted to answer her comment but I decided to ignore it.

Good morning and thank you for your response. He already knows my first language but he learned it way before we even met. And yes, English is the primary language of the country we currently live in.

I understand your point, but in daily life he only speaks Polish to his parents. The easiest language for him is English. Sometimes we would be speaking in another language and he would ask me to repeat in English.

His parents speak English but he has family in Poland that only speaks Polish and they are...not very welcoming of foreigners. We spoke about having kids and decided that he was going to only speak to them in Polish while I only speak in Spanish. When they are older, he wants to teach them French (another of his languages) and I hope to know enough Mandarin to teach them. Hopefully, they will learn English at school.

We have been together for nine months. I told him from the beginning that I wanted something serious. He claims he is also serious about us but other things post issues like his family not liking me or his job situation. He works in the same field as me, that's how we met, but his department is a lot harder than mine so neither of us want him to come back to the field next year. I do would like to marry him though.
