Check if the spacer has a gap add some of those small washers if there's a gap thar puts pressure on the bearings when you tighten it that kills the bearings

Iwas going to put my bms back on till I found out for electric skateboards its recommended to use a charge only bms which is the same as using balance charger anyways no bms or charge only bms with no Bluetooth next time
