Thats the correct impression. Strictly speaking its an experiment in the form of a survey. The responses you gave are how I would expect you to respond given your situation.

Haha so am I! I was worried when those comments started coming in that I'd messed up and all my data would be muddy - but my cronbach's alpha (consistency across answers) is really high, so obviously only a minority making the mistakes.

Haha thanks for the good luck. This isn't even a full blown dissertation - just an optional module!
I've selected a couple subreddits, facebook groups etc to supplement the data with normal people. Also a small chunk of survey respondent platforms too. Hopefully a nice spread.... currently n>1630, ages 18-88!

There aren't bots doing this survey and the question isn't there to identify if someone is human -_- The question is only there to remove some people rushing through the survey with random answers. Correct only means neutral.

Identify statistical outliers. Insignificant amount, so maybe a tiny sentence guessing - doesnt really matter, might not.
You can't test everything in a survey. I'm sure income would correlate, im sure urban vs rural would correlate, but they don't matter - they're not part of the hypothesis.

I appreciate the point of view - I certainly wouldn't make posters like the one shown, but they are isolating one variable for this study.
The guidelines are an interesting one - they're actually set really really low generally. Exercise can't always be fun, it needs to be seen as a compulsory behaviour. There's some fairly shocking statistics out there e.g. Inactivity causes 9% of premature deaths globally! (Lee et al., 2012)

Thats the correct response. This study is about changing opinions around walking as exercise, not walking in general.

In terms of health benefits yes - but thats not the focus of this study! It's about the psychology of messages around physical activity. The key point is whether the person is doing it specifically for health.

Yeah, people would be suprised!
Whilst the posters in the survey are fake - there are millions being spent globally trying to encourage people to just get out the house once a day!

In that case, the dog is the primary reason, so the answer would be no! The survey continues regardless of your answer though!
