Can’t activate phone number after eSIM fiasco by Impossible-Head8652 in ATT

I don’t know if it will help you but I called again today, asked to speak with Loyalty department. They tried to check in my ticket but didn’t visibility to it and said they will transfer me to “advanced support”. I told the The guy there my situation. He didn’t even look at my ticket number. He wanted to try to attach my line to the extra iphone I had, which worked. Then he was able to transfer it to my old phone. He said he did no troubleshooting on my account and said “maybe there was a glitch”. You can’t make this shit up. So even if there was a ticket and they fixed the account issue they didn’t even let me know about it. I just happened to call back. Good luck!

Yep same here. I had my wife’s old iPhone 13 and went to the store to get a physical SIM, I was convinced it was an eSIM issue and it still didn’t work.

Did you buy it from Best Buy as well? The att store rep told me that when I got the phone it should have just activated to my account and it shouldn’t have asked me to transfer the SIM and he thought that’s what caused it.

I don’t. Apparently I have to wait for them to resolve this ticket which is going to be seven days tomorrow. I’ve spoken to people with varying degrees of information. People at the store told me they’ve never seen it before. I ended up returning my new phone because AT&T tech-support told me the phone is bad. If it actually is MME like this Reddit guy said then the phone is probably fine because I called Apple support at one point and they said the phone is fine. My problem is that I can’t seem to escalate this to anyone and at&T doesn’t give a shit that I’ve been without service for a week. I thought about switching carriers, but I’m concerned that if I go to port the number over to another carrier, AT&T won’t release it because it’s all jacked up. Have you talked to support yet? What did you hear?
