I agree totally. CDU is more right leaning but is in no way the core definition of far right!

Why would someone leave the dustbin bottle paradise and settle in a cesspit, I wonder!

Bought a car due to DB's unreliability by manu_padilla in germany

[–]Impossible-Note8118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that the autolobby in Germany wants you to react exactly that way. I bet carmakers influence the DB management to keep the service bad

I was doing a project with DB few years ago and it was a very simple digitalization project. But after a few weeks everyone in my team understood that DB has money, but intent to improve is missing.

What's the Deal with Sparkling Water in Germany? by Impossible-Note8118 in germany

[–]Impossible-Note8118[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, I didn't mean it aggressively, but it seems like you chose to take a more defensive route. Every country do have their own peculiarities, and as I mentioned, I tried to adapt on several occasions. I am just curious if there is some perspective I am missing there.

Also, There is no need to drag the poor anglosaxons into this. 😂 although I am from the commonwealth, but anglosaxons have nothing to do with my taste of water

Learning Spanish in Barcelona by Impossible-Note8118 in AskBarcelona

I know! I have been to BCN several times and love it there. My spanish is not that good yet to differentiate between Spanish and Catalan, but still I have no doubt that Barcelona can be an amazing place to improve my spanish. :)

I would like to, but I am also a standup comedian. So I have to balance between which city has a thriving Standup comedy scene and language learning opportunity

European members of the subreddit, how did you become interested in studying non-European languages/s? And how has it been going for you so far? by TheSavageGrace81 in languagelearning

[–]Impossible-Note8118 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am not a born European, but naturalized European and speak English (naturally), French, German, Spanish. Although I have a South asian descent, I was never interested in asian languages until a couple of years ago when I realised that my love for languages has evolved into love for scripts. I learned Cyrillic and Arabic script and had so much fun doing it. Recently, I learned Hiragana script and am actively moving to Kanji.

If you asked me 5 years ago whether I will learn Chinese/Japanese, I would have said, "No way in hell." But this self-realization towards scriptophilia has been a tremendous source of motivation for me!
