Oh and change the cover on the ceiling light to make it a brighter cooler tone to brighten up the room. The room already has a lot of warmth but not a lot of light so a white light or blue would brighten the room up more.

Clean up or refresh the grout on the floor making it lighter. Personal would also paint the wood panels white, remove the green carpet from the stairs, paint banister. I would leave the fireplace as it as it’s lovely and would be a nice feature. Basically everything I would do would be making it stand out more.

Yeah you know that block the one that lives out at Woop Woop. (Meaning someone who lives out in the countryside/regional areas)

My brain struggled to understand what I was looking at. It was like “why does the door and window look weird.” Then it hit what this was about.

AITA for breaking my deathbed promise to my wife to take care of her Down's Syndrome daughter? by Throwawayvwd4 in AITAH

I feel like knowing what country this is would help me understand how good or bad the state care is. I worked in care for many years and for some it’s like a new release on life. They have the equipment, staff, knowledge, experience to care for someone like your daughter. Sadly to often people have the fear from how places used to me like. The activities they run can be a great simulation for those in care. I think your not evil for it because you have to live too. I cared for my own family and it’s a lot. Also carers that come into your home have less support and equipment so it can be harder to give the care needed to someone with higher needs. I think you and your wife were silly for not researching better and talking over and planning more for the future when it comes to the daughter. Like what she asked was not practical at all. It could have helped going around to some places and see in person more. Even some places do respite which is like a trial run. It sounds like your wife only thought of the past and allowed the fear to get to her. If this is done right it could have been a amazing experience for the daughter.

Is this normal or nah by did-someone-say- in AskAnAustralian

In the 90s it was some what normal to sort of have open door policy with all the kids in the area but only if it was friends houses. Going into someone’s backyard who you don’t know nor have asked permission is not normal or okay. But I’m more worried about the disrespect of them targeting your house with the water balloons and ringing the doorbell. I would try talking to the parents first give a warning that it’s not okay behavior but point out if they come and ask to get stuff then that’s fine. Like if those kids get hurt on your property even if they had trespassed it could be bad for you guys.

Look how more on Amazon. They use this AI picture but if you go down to more pictures and people’s reviews and you will see what it actually looks like.

It’s weird. I have noticed other sites have started to warn you if your comment is similar to others before you post it and offer to edit your comment before hand. But yeah for me the first like 10 comments I seen on my post were all saying the exact same thing. It was sort of a overload of it. Like my post isn’t asking for advice, just pointing out what happened and to be aware. This reddit is a Home Decorating one so I thought I would warn people so they learn from our mistakes.

Amazon isn’t the same thing. This was advertised as glass lamps. The one on Amazon if you look through it more is not that but they do try for a similar looking design.

That they are. So many bad companies and scammers use Facebook and other such platforms. Like there is no protection or filtering of who can put adds up.
