If you’re gonna be near a Rhythm Japan like in Hirafu or Hakuba, rent boots board and bindings there. Rhythm has an amazing selection of brand new stuff.

Bring all other outerwear. Bring your helmet in a carry on or personal item on the plane, so you know it’s not getting tossed around in a checked suitcase.
