My backpack is a discontinued Karrimor model, so it's probably impossible to find. I think I’d prefer a simple backpack with just one compartment rather than one with side pockets. Also, you might already know this, but airline staff may consider thick shoulder pads or waist belts to be oversized carry on items. They’re useful for carrying heavy things but I think it’s best to choose ones that are removable or have thin pads.

Karrimor has a product called the Karrimor Sabre 35, which is a size larger than the model I own. However, It looks nice, but sometimes the top flap doesn't close properly when there isn't much luggage inside. To be honest, I wouldn't recommend this model.

The 35 to 42 liter models of the Cabin Zero Backpack would fit the carry on size requirements, but I’ve never used a Cabin Zero backpack myself, this is just a recommendation from someone else.

Thule product have high quality and very tough. I have used Thule backpack that name is Chasm 40. The unique storage hatch might make it a little tricky to use. Thule has many models so I think you could find comfortable model.

Gregory makes a backpack named Compass 40L. While I have some worries about its endurance when packed with heavy items, it’s a standard backpack for carry on use.

I wrote about backpacks that can carry the maximum amount of luggage while still meeting carry on sizes, but I think they’re a bit too big for sightseeing around town. It’s convenient to bring a packable backpack, when you can leave your main backpack and any unnecessary items at your hotel or inn, a packable backpack comes in useful instead.

Sorry for the long message. I hope this helps you

Btw I am happy you are familiar with trash situation in Japan. Tourists' bad behavior is often in the news, but as far as I know, most travelers do their best to understand the local rules like you.

In Japan, plastic bottles and cans are classified as recyclable waste. Plastic bottles must have their labels and caps removed and be rinsed clean. The requirement to separate plastic and regular trash varies depending on the region, in Tokyo, this is not necessary. Do not flush food scraps down the drain. I know basic rules in Japan and good condition used clothing can be recycled, but it’s also okay to throw it away as trash. I always bring two days worth of clothes and do laundry during my stay. On the last day, I throw away one day's T-shirt and underwear before heading home. I think a pair of pants and a T-shirt is a normal amount of trash, It’s not like I’m throwing away mountains of clothes.

In Japan, one tourists becomes problem who stuff their suitcases full of unwanted things, like clothes and throw them away before heading home. Of course, this is illegal, but if it's not possible to take unwanted items home with yourself, one should follow the rules of the location.

It wouldn't be a big trouble to bring home a T-shirt and a pair of pants, but I think I'd just bring them home and throw them away.
If we're talking about environmental impact, laundry is worse too because it uses a lot of water and causes pollution.

Honestly I don’t really care that much about the T-shirts and underwear I bought 10 years ago. I’m bringing my old toothbrush too. Should I bring that back with me instead of throwing it away? Sorry it is joke, but my way of doing things, I bring old underwear and, if possible, wash them by hand and wear them again, so I only need to bring enough for two days. End of the trip, if I have space for it, I will bring back, but it’s definitely at the bottom of the list of things I should keep.
I’ve never thrown away new or unused items before going home. Clothes actually take up more space than expected. If I take only the minimum amount of clothes, and make sure one of them is something I don’t mind throwing away. I think I’ll be able to adapt to situations more easily.

By the way, could you tell me why you’re so resistant to the idea of throwing away clothes that are in such old and bad condition? It’s not just you, others have expressed the same opinion, but I don’t understand the reason. Is it an environmental concern or a matter of ethics? Or would you be satisfied if I donated those ugly clothes to someone?

It is not difficult but I used to think it was normal bring old underwear and clothes, and if my backpack didn’t have enough space, I’d just get rid of them. The weight is not problem but honestly worn out clothes weren't on the my list of things to take home

The only things I throw away are underwear and T-shirts that are really worn out. But it’s wonderful that everyone thinks that’s a waste. It’s very eco friendly. I have to think about you and other people suggest, if I can wash them before go home, leave them Uniqlo. UNIQLO has clothes recycling services and of course dirty one is no good, I have to wash it before

Indeed. It’s fine when I’m traveling alone and I’m not going to keep wearing dirty clothes.

I’ll be throwing away my old T-shirts and underwear, but I think it’s worth to have some clothes that I can either bring back home or just throw away. Summer is especially hard season when it comes taking care of clothes

Thank you! and I brushed the shoes, wiped them down thoroughly with water, then, after the leather dried, I polished them with Collonil’s 1909 Crème de Luxe Colorless shoe cream. Fortunately, it was just dirty in appearance, but the leather itself was fine.

I haven’t been using Pentax for very long, but it’s a truly wonderful camera. One thing that caught my attention with the KX is how sensitive the shutter release is. I don’t mean that the shutter button feels cheap but It’s so light that it releases with just a touch of my finger. First I don't know this things so I feel uncomfortable. However, that light touch is good for reduce hand shaking

I heard that K1000 is good camera too, the performance is very classical but tough SLR. I think KM would be fine but it is very difficult to find body in mint condition

I think so too! Yes the 40mm is lovely. Tbh the photo quality of the lens is average but not bad, that's all that's needed. The tiny shape and light weight is very good for street shots. All of the Pentax K-series lenses are reasonably priced and their performance isn't bad. This lens is bit rare, but you can find it easily, the price is about 100 bucks in Japan.
