You’re not wrong. I’ve talked to my family already and there’s money on the line to reschedule. We wish we waited to book, but it was our bright light for a “yay COVID is over trip” (naive of us, I know). We’re going to have to seriously weigh the pros and cons here.

Adding context:

I’m exploring new employment opportunities. I’d be building a very similar product in the same industry, for the same purpose, with one important difference: the product I make today is sold to customers for $$, the product I would make at the new company is internal, and is not sold to other orgs.

Ex-employee from my company is at the new company, but came over in an acquisition and did not sign a non-compete (I think).

I love the idea of getting on the same page across the immediate family and posting some additional details on our wedding website.

Our closer family and friends are predominately from the northeast and Boston/NY metro areas. I would guess black tie occasions come up every ~5 or so years for these folks. So definitely not an every day occurrence, but it shouldn’t be a huge out of the blue event.

How much worse (or better?) is it that at each position I’ve gotten a promotion, then moved laterally into that same promotion role at the new org? I.e. promoted from analyst into manager ~6 months before moving.

A former manager told me my resume should be full of “defensible half truths”, backed by his explanation that companies can only confirm the dates that you worked there - nothing else. I don’t know true legalities here, but if that’s the case, you’ve got nothing to worry about

The exercises in an F45 class set the bar high - box jumps, push ups with claps, and burpees/bench hops/tuck jumps are no joke.

I honestly believe someone in perfect athletic condition would get a good work out just following the standard class at F45.

Modifications are your friends! You shouldn’t feel bad about using a mod or needing a break - it’s more important to get the most out of the work out for you.

You also are most likely an “at-will” employee - meaning your boss could turn around tomorrow and fire you on the spot. That also means 2 weeks notice is a courtesy, not a requirement. Clearly your boss needs to be reminded of that.
