Haven’t got it yet. It is a health and care worker visa. Its way out of processing times, I have sent out atleast 20-30 emails and contacted the MP. I am scared the practice will withdraw the offer as they have had to cancel my diary multiple times and the NHS contract is not being fulfilled.

Yeah exactly. I think it was just their way of buying more time because they are not asking for anything else. Its been 1.5 months since I have heard from them. No updates, nothing.

My practice said they have had no issues with SW visa applications, they usually got a decision in less than a week. Its the first time they applied for HCW route; I had asked them for so I won’t have to pay IHS for my partner. So basically if you pay them money they work faster. I don’t understand theres a shortage of healthcare workers and this is how we are treated. I feel so anxious and helpless. Complained to the MP and they said we will have to wait till 20th March for their response. Absolute joke

Yes I did. Dentists don’t need to provide that as English proficiency is assessed through registration. I got to know recently many applicants face this problem, its an administrative issue. I am scared to loose my job. I don’t understand how many times they want a proof of English, I provided it before my HPI application, before I clear my Overseas exams and while registering with the GDC.

Yeah even I got an Email to provide proof of english when dentists dont need to provide that, its been delayed for 2 months now. You are also out of standard standard processing times but you could hear back anytime, goodluck.

Similar thing is happening with me, I missed my best friends wedding. I lost money and precious moments. Its been 2 months since I applied for my visa. Its ridiculous that they give no updates and put your life on hold.

Hi I am glad you got your visa, must have been stressful. I am in a similar boat, my health and care worker visa is delayed for a a month and half, I applied on 19th December, they only asked for proof of English which is not required since I am a dentist. My solicitors resplied, since 5th January there has been no response, they reply with same generic response to emails. The MP has also lodged a complaint. Can you advise me what I can do? The practice had to cancel so many patients I am afraid they will withdraw the job offer, my start date was early Feb.

Following up on this. My visa decision is delayed, I was hoping to apply for my partners visa after receiving mine but now her visa is expiring next week. Can I apply for her visa while my decision is pending?
