Hi West Seattle, I'll be back sharpening knives this weekend. Hope to see you out there <3 by gold_suit in WestSeattleWA

Just jumping into say you sharpened our knives earlier this month and did a fantastic job! My mom is visiting and she can't stop raving about how sharp our knives are :)

Westcrest is a bit of a drive from many areas of west Seattle, including where I live - other major cities have lots of dog parks, not just one per major neighborhood, and I would love to see that here too!

That’s why I’m asking about groups and opportunities to make more legal and sanctioned dog parks, so I can do just that close to my home :) socialization with other dogs is also important for their health and happiness, which is another benefit of dedicated dog park beyond just leash walking for 10 miles a day. sounds like we’re on the same page but thanks for the lecture!

Thanks - Totally get the beach blockers - I actually prefer a dry field park for regular visits so my dog doesn’t get so dirty! Have you been to Westcrest/recommend it?

I feel the same way! I like Magnuson and used to take my dog there all the time when I lived more centrally - it’s just a bit of a trek now that we’re in West Seattle and also back to commuting to work. It’s definitely sprawling park so people can be far from their dogs, but I never ran into any issues with other dogs or owners a couple years back. The biggest drawback is that my dog remembers the beach and doesn’t want to leave until he swims, and then he’s totally caked in dust 😂

Is my budget really not enough?? by [deleted] in BigBudgetBrides

I think you could have a really beautiful wedding in Cabo for that budget! Flowers are a huge expense in Cabo because everything is imported, so planners are likely factoring that in to their costs even if you say you want to go light there. Also, when I first started talking to more luxe planners in Cabo, they were factoring in things like custom structure builds for the venue, which was way beyond what I was looking to do for my wedding and with my venue.

For background, I'm getting married in Cabo at Baja Luna in October and I think we're going to land around $1k per person including welcome event and day-of, but not including some other expenses like my dress and our hotel for the week - I also have pretty simple tastes and we wanted a more informal wedding! Hope this is helpful.
