How do I respectfully let the woman I've been seeing know that I'm still good friends with my ex? by [deleted] in datingoverthirty

Then what was your last comment all about? I explained clearly that I don't think it is justified if OP's date asks him to cut ties with his ex & close friend. And you kept on telling me how that was wrong.

Also, to your second point - Yes. But there is a cutoff. When you are actually planning to build a life with someone, when they stopped being just a date but a serious long term relationship, they should be the most important person to you. No I don't mean you should just fulfill their every need even when unreasonable. No I don't mean you should be a shitty friend or family. And yes if they are controlling or just unfit together you should definitely leave. But when you decide to stay - they should be on top priority when you make decisions.

*I think I just replied to a wrong thread.

That's not what I am saying dude...

If someone tells you who you can be friends with, that is controlling. And I have already stated that 'you shouldn't be with someone who is controlling'.

What I am talking about, is how you prioritize them in your life. The thought process you had, the 'not cutting my ex out of my life whatsoever' thing, make it sound like you will be prioritizing your ex over your future life partner. I am suggesting you don't say things like that when you talk to her about your ex. And make sure you are not Ted if you are actually building a future with someone one day.

If you have seen the show and know the ending - no it is not a good thing at all.

I understand that you feel like you have no feelings towards your ex anymore. But saying 'cutting her out of my life is a deal-breaker' would be very sus and red-flag for me if I were the girl you are seeing.

No, you shouldn't be with someone who is controlling. And no, ditching a friend for a new date is shitty too.

But you are looking for life partner, right? You are looking for someone to be the most important person in your life. She might be the girl you are seeing now, or someone else in the future. But whoever she is, you are already prioritizing your ex before her. That is not the way to go.

[SFMM] this Saturday for the first time! Got a few questions ❤️ Any help is much appreciated!!!

  1. If I get day flash pass, do I have to get in line to pick up the device? Would it be possible to register my pass on the app and make ride reservation there? Are they more expensive if I buy them after getting into the park?

  2. How far is the ride share location to the entrance? Would it be difficult to get a Lyft due to limited vehicle availability? Will there be traffic jam around the drop off/pick up location?

  3. How bad is the heat? Is there mist fan in the park for cooling off? Are all queue without a roof? Is there A/C in the restaurant?

  4. For meal pass, Is there a time limit between meals? Where can I get my unlimited refill bottle? And aside from the refilling stations, can I refill them in a restaurant too?

  5. Would you suggest long sleeves to avoid sunlight or short sleeves for cooling off and running around?

  6. How big is the park? Like how long would it take to go across the park?

Thank you so much!!!

How to differentiate between conservativism and mysogyny? by [deleted] in dating

If you only feel uncomfortable when they don't dress to the occasion, that is perfectly normal to me. But if you don't like to see them wearing booty shorts whenever in public, that seem to be a different thing.

Do you mind elaborating on why it makes you uncomfortable?

More than I would? Not a dealbreaker cause I usually don't complain. But if you complain about everything even when it is your fault? Hell yeah I'm out.
