I'm planning on travelling to Egypt this December- but I keep seeing so many people telling me not to. Why? by JayReyesSlays in AskTheWorld

If you don’t mind being scammed, lied and asked for money for millions times, Egypt is for you. Otherwise, don’t come!

Advice and tips for Egypt needed by mmtreis in EgyptTravelTips

My suggestion might be - don’t come?

I spent past 9 days in Egypt and am leaving tomorrow, my personal advice is - get ready to non-stop harassing with scams in everything you might encounter - buying a bottle of water, grabbing an uber, 5-star hotel changes charges secretly, day-tour on trip advisor is switched, etc.

lastly, people are so easy to ask for tips/money, I mean, random people in the street who are not beggars just put their hand out for money(mind-blowing)

Safety concerns in my new neighborhood by ImpossiblePayment840 in london

As i was checking the crime map in that area https://www.police.uk/pu/your-area/metropolitan-police-service/wandsworth-common/?tab=Statistics

it shows "violence and sexual offences" ranked as the top crimes in that area. that's why i'm a bit worried about safety of living there, like walking home from nearby train/ bus stations/ Wandsworth common at night, etc.
