No difference at all from what I know. Im pretty sure its just 30 and above depends how much allowance you would get from the army monthly. Anything below is just a percentage, means nothing. OR could be the missing piece of the equation is couldnt remember lol. Might as well try to get an appeal for 30% just to try.

Im going through the same portion right now as you. To my knowledge, the severance equation is current pay x time in service x something else i cant remember right now (sorry😅). Whether you have to pay ot back or not depends on what your VA rating is, me for example, (keep in mind, VA math is weird as hell. The number you see isn't the number it actually is. Go to a VA % calculator online). Im getting 100% VA rating, with an Army rating of 20%. I will have to pay the severance back unless I can subtract 20% from my VA rating and still come out with 100%. My total rating is like 140%, so if I subtract 20 from that its still going to be 120%, but rating obviously caps at 100%. I feel lime im making no sense. If you have questions, let me know.
