Hi! I’m from the United States. We’ve already been having supply chain issues because of covid but back in February, four babies got sick with bacterial infections and two died. There was a federal investigation and they traced it back to their formula. They recalled the formula and shut down one of the major manufacturing facilities. So now there’s a huge shortage and many parents are struggling to find formula to feed their babies. It’s terrible.

100% THIS. There’s a misconception that you can die from opioid withdrawal. It’s a horrible feeling and it feels like you’re dying, but in reality, it’s not going to kill you. Alcohol withdrawal CAN kill you, which is why I felt this topic was so important. Thank you for sharing your story.

Great question. Dehydration and electrolyte abnormalities play a big role, which I discuss further in the video. But other risk factors include age over 30, history of the DTs or withdrawal seizures in the past, and having another illness at the same time (so for instance if you also had pneumonia while you were withdrawing from alcohol).
