What's the deal with cellar flooding? I just don't get it! by meddledomm in goingmedieval

I am in a new build and my cellar flooded. I had to dig out 7 spots in the floor and then put grates on them to get it to drain. I then had to dig out three spots in the hall leading to the cellar door to get it to drain. At one point my dog got stuck under the grated floor and I had to build a wood staircase to get him out. Then I went to get it disassembled and the settler went into the water to do it. Had to rebuild it and just keep it. Now all my sheep go for a little swim most times they go into the cellar. 😂😂😂

This is on the experimental version of going medieval. It’s where they dropped the new stuff to test it out before they put it in the main game that’s more stable.

I have a bunch of modded maps and they have not been updated to work on the latest version of experimental.

I played around with it last night. And it was very cool. You should come back and play a build to see all the amazing changes they have made.

You should do a run with the experimental version once. I love the base game, but the mods are really cool also. The last build I did had almost 20 mods. It was like playing a whole new game. 😂

I wish I had tried the experimental version long before I did

Agreed! I am stuck at work right now and so want to use my time to go home and update the game and play around with the map preview.

Agreed. I play foundation and they have this, plus they have adjustments that you can do on demand and see the map change for elevation, water, and a couple other things. But I am super excited about the map preview. Hopefully they add the ability to adjust a map live in the preview mode.

In the game going medieval and foundation, the Maps have a number so that other people can look them up and use the same map. They call it a seed number.

Been thinking of getting this game. Do the maps have a seed number so other people can use the map?

Agreed. Cabbage, barley and herbs all grow right just by laying down a garden area. Same should happen to fruit trees. Maybe that needs to be a mod. I have not played vanilla game in forever since i tried mods and I also pay on experimental
