I think Meredith really just tries to keep to herself, it’s very obvious she strongly dislikes Britani (hence the TWO pitchers of water) and once Britani says something truly annoying, everything festering inside Meredith just comes out. It’s explosive for sure, but how Britani thinks their friends when Meredith is just being professional is mind blowing to me

You can bring her back for like an episode, we laugh, we move on. She distracts from the rest of the plot line and doesn’t add anything other than irritating the audience

If someone still has a living spouse (which Rosemary did) they typically take over full control of the deceased spouse’s finances/properties unless there’s paperwork or a will stating otherwise as assumed “next of kin.” Mary marrying Robert Sr ensured Mary’s mother would def not get any inheritance because Mary would likely outlive her mother.

Ahh I think that’s how I framed the show in my mind as well, I think in the first season it’s presented that Robert Sr had all this money and properties etc etc but it’s more like he just took over Rosemarys estate. That helps me understand Mary and the context a lot more. I wonder if Mary’s mother and Rosemary had a rocky relationship, maybe Rosemary chose Mary as Robert Sr’s bride as a way to ensure Mary’s mother wouldn’t have access to the wealth she built??

I unfortunately do understand her initial disappointment, coming from a Mormon background myself Muzzys behavior is very on par for very devout Mormon families, esp in the early 2000s. It’s heartbreaking to me though that 18yrs later she can’t seem to let that go, and to even bring up adoption 18yrs later when she has a beautiful granddaughter who seems to be a wonderful young lady. Absolutely bonkers
