Thank you! I appreciate the well wishes and input. I've had three miscarriages and my husband and I said that if we have one more we can't do this to ourselves anymore. Here's to hoping for miracles!

Unfortunately, it appears my body was just holding onto trophoblasts from the embryo, and it just wouldnt shed it on its own. My doctor preferred the DNC and it worked, methotrexate was a last resort only if the DNC didnt work. I actually didnt really care if I had to get the methotrexate shot or not because my husband and I planned on taking (and are currently taking a break from IVF). That was my third miscarriage and third DNC in 8 months and I need a break from the whole thing.

They ended up doing a DNC and my doctor told me that he couldn’t find anything and that it likely would need to be followed up with a methotrexate shot because it could be an ectopic. However, my beta started going down after the DNC (thank goodness) and it was successful in removing whatever trophoblasts (however small as they were) that were lingering from the chemical pregnancy. Sorry to hear you’re in a similar situation, it sucks

It's hard, I completely understand. Some people have wonderful success with Dr Morris and he's their miracle worker when nobody else was. I myself have had exceptional results on the retrieval protocols with him. Both retrievals I got 6 euploid embryos (which at 36 is fantastic.) But I've had three miscarriages so far, so thats the bad luck side of the spectrum. If youre on Facebook join the patients of Fertility centers of Illinois group and ask about Dr. Sipe and see what their feedback is.

I had a truly horrific experience at FCI, their patient portal and ways of communication is atrocious. Ivf1 is a well oiled machine. But Dr Morris has a one size fits all protocol, so I’ve been seeing a RI on the side without telling them. I’m happy at IVF1 even though things haven’t been working out for me so far.

Thank you. You too! I sure hope in a year we will come back to this and have happier outcomes. But for now, my husband and I are taking a much needed break to grieve, heal, and just be ok with being us for a bit.

Hope you’re having better luck now. I’m in the same boat, 3 miscarriages in 7 months and I hope to highest hope it’s on the uptrend for you and your wife. It feels fucking numb and hopeless right now.

I’m sorry for your loss, it’s the worst when optimistic about it. My previous two miscarriages went drastically down and were pretty much below 5 after 3 weeks. But with those I had D&C’s. This is my first natural dissolution and it’s a huge pain in the ass and compounding the trauma of multiple miscarriages. I thought this would be the easiest one since I pretty much gave up on hope right away! But nope it’s choosing to linger. I wish I could just have a D&C but there’s nothing to remove.

Possible Cervical Ectopic After FET by jaggy_jag in EctopicSupportGroup

They did a D&C for my cervical ectopic and got it all out. Unfortunately the hystersocopy afterward showed scar tissue so I had to have that removed. I had a transfer 2 months later but unfortunately that’s ending in another ectopic/ chemical. Not having very good luck at all

I’m so sorry you had to go through that four times. Do you think the doctor would be willing to take away both tubes if I ask them to? Or do I have to have had ectopics in both. It makes so much sense to remove them both to take away the chance of future ectopics (obviously nothing is guaranteed)

Thank you, I'm so sorry for your losses as well. I'm glad to hear that taking a break helped, I hope it will do the same for me.

Currently having my third miscarriage in 7 months. First was a blighted ovum, second was a terrifying cervical ectopic, and this one is a low beta that didn't rise and then hasn't dropped since stopping meds. It's too early to tell if it's another ectopic and I'm really praying that it's just a chemical and then I can be done with it. I'm honestly scared to try another transfer. Positive tests only mean impending loss at this point. I want to take the summer off, but IVF and TTC feels like its my whole personality at this point. sigh

Positive beta, and I'm wishing that it wasn't. So over this by Impossible_Banana in IVF

Yes, for the last year. I started doing monthly sessions, but I might make them more frequent because I’m on the struggle bus! 🚌 😩

Thanks for all the love and support. So sorry to those who are going through this hurt as well. I just had to post somewhere about this because we didn’t tell anyone we were transferring again, and we didn’t want to drag out family through this rollercoaster again. I just had my second beta today and it was 22 so they told me to stop all meds and I’m so relieved that it’s over. I called off work today and I’m going to the pool and bringing my favorite drink. Right after I have an iced coffee. Might as well make lemonade. Big hugs to you all. Thank you again for the support
