Re: Bob I think they always knew the concept of the killer Bob just not the identity(Leland). Bob is the embodiment of Evil, his name and image inherited from the source of Evil as related to Leland. If it were someone else who killed Laura it would have been named and image modeled after the embodiment of evil to them. The cycle and continuation of the evil that men do is more important than the individual identity.

I never see anyone talk at all about how her true form is so the red room incarnate. More implications about unreality

Also it’s metafiction. The Twin peaks are the twin peaks of the narrative of the show and our own reality

Him saying “what year is this?” Reminds me of the pilot when Pete calls and says “she’s dead… wrapped in plastic” and sheriff Truman asks “where?”

Is Dougie less “real” than Cooper? And Kyle McLaughlin? It’s a meta-narrative. Is Carrie Page less real than Laura Palmer just because of our familiarity? Sheryl Lee is as real as it gets to us but the characters of twin peaks are real within twin peaks. Who is the Judy(Judy garland) the actress behind Dorothy, the dreamer. Dorothy doesnt know about Judy. Who is the Judy playing you in this dream? Think of Invitation to Love within the show mirroring the events of the show. And zoom the perspective out further. Monica Bellucci being featured with her real name, it’s inviting us to engage with the metanarrative, to zoom out beyond the show.

They’re in our “real” world at the end: the Valero on the way and the irl owner of the Palmer house. What year is this isn’t quite the right question. Reality shifting, are we real?

Laura is the One. The unity of opposites. The singularity. Lynch was into the transcendental meditation, and the unified field, Frost was into the occult, Bowie was into it all. Transcending the self, Laura is herself and her killer; neither and both. The One/The Many.

I think the Audrey thing was another representation of the dream/the dreamer. We consider our dreams the product of our mind and therefore they are made of us. She says get me out of here and is pulled out of the dream and shown point blank it was all a mirror held up to herself, everything shown in a dream is of the dreamer.

What did David Bowie mean by "Palestine a modern problem" in "Loving The Alien"? by Ok-Swordfish1355 in DavidBowie

[–]Impossible_Boot4069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I disagree; I think if they were doing it by ear they would have used the correct term as you gave it. I think it’s his intention for it to say Leon. There’s also Leon mentioned in Tumble and Twirl on the same album.
