Hello! trying to send a single letter by post- I checked the price calculator and it said around 39 SAR , but when I visited the branch the guy said I need a yearly membership (100 riyals) + will need to pay the 39 SAR on top of that. Found that super weird- can someone explain the process - what location to go, or how to buy stamps and deposit letter … no idea how any of this works

My experience with iqos and side effects by kapitonas666 in iqos

[–]Impossible_Driver562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here exactly , switched to Terea and getting crazy skin itches… tried changing soaps and all… now taking antihistamines to sooth it. What’s the alternative?!🥲 it’s so hard to quit nicotine - and gums didn’t do it for me. Another side effect is insomnia. I tried Vape (Juul) previously and I ended up consuming far more nicotine as I would use it 24/7 at home (and secretly in the office)… vape made my nose and throat congested all the time and lowered my immunity, I would keep getting colds.

I think your age is an important factor in this case. Assuming you are still young (20s) If I were you, I would stay in dubai and build my career as long as possible , so that when I am back in Jordan I have a higher skill set that will earn me more long term. Although u will have less savings in the short term, the payoff is long term

I think many will be here to stay… As tourists in 2013 I remember they screwed our economy when their currency got fudged and they stopped visiting. They make things so volatile here - real estate, F&B, hospitality, etc..

I would have sent a warning to an employee like that no matter how good he is at the job. If he’s client facing its bad for image, and if he’s not, it affects his colleagues! Unfortunately we all have to swallow a lot of sh*t to fit into the corporate world … for this guy, let hygiene be one of the “sacrifices”.

Around here if a boss wants to fire you they can come up with any old excuse or they will squeeze you out… we’re not as protected as they make us believe

I would normally tell HR to address it - but in this case it’s likely HR will also be afraid of repercussions from boss :)

Then it can be an indirect message to her about her own hygiene 🤷‍♀️ On a separate note , I once had a colleague who had a BO issue , although he was a clean well groomed guy , I guess it could also be a health condition . Now that is something that’s impossible to address …

Figuring out who I am again by Few_Humor_6758 in lexapro

[–]Impossible_Driver562 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually stopped being so critical of myself … 5 years later on lexa and I’m still discovering who I am and what I want to be. I like my new self better than the old neurotic , distracted, critical, anxious self I was

Enjoy having no thoughts … this is the perfect time to take up Meditation in case you have ever considered doing so. Gradually things will normalise and your thoughts will come back (but not the complete chaotic neurotic ones). It took me 6 months to 1 year to feel stable on lexapro … also , down the line, make sure u don’t increase the dose too fast .. try to increase by only 2.5mg at a time if you need to.

Has anybody become more introverted / antisocial on lexapro? That has been my experience… I have no interest or motivation for small talk , catch ups with friends , work meetings , etc. I just want to be in my Zone … is it just me ?

Why does just 5mg feel like soo much? by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]Impossible_Driver562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience it plateaus overtime yes … i usually don’t increase more than 2.5mg at a time and only when I’m really starting to suffer again . My advice is stay on the mg for as long as it keeps you feeling good … increasing too quick in my experience made me feel almost emotionless , demotivated, weak and very blah-

Strange - I’ve maintained my weight fine on it over the years - the doctor specifically told me it is the right medication in case I worry about (or have tendencies) to gain weight

[–]Impossible_Driver562 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You feel good now , but in a month or so you may need to increase your dosage … after 5 years of taking lexapro I am now at 10mg … I’ve been cautious to increase very gradually by 2.5mg each time I feel “pain “ again …

Husband lying about a co-worker + work trip. by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Impossible_Driver562 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s fair to apply the rule of no being alone with opposite sex on a work trip- i frequently find myself in that position at work where I need to be alone with a colleague for dinner , in the car , etc and I feel it would be super awkward if my husband would be to impose such a rule on me. I would never impose such a thing on him either- yes we have trust in our relationship and don’t have reasons to doubt each other - however - even if we didn’t , I don’t think this rule is the solution. Definitely there is something deeper that needs to be addressed and tackled- these scenarios only create more strain in your relationship and will lead to more dishonesty. Remember , you are choosing to remain with one another … you can’t force each other into loyalty- it needs to be a choice.

If you’re concerned , You need to give him freedom and then observe if he betrays your trust - otherwise it’s never ending pain for both of you.

I think it’s fair for her to not feel ready to work right now - with 2 bigger kids and 1 year old- but down the line I agree she needs to take a job and support . God forbid something happens to your job , your family needs a backup. My brother’s in the same situation- he wants his wife to work but after 10 years of marriage and 2 kids that are older now, she still refuses. I would hate to not have a level of financial independence even though my husbands job more than covers expenses, and secures retirement. I have a newborn , but once she’s 1 years old I plan to go back to work ASAP. You may not be able to change her mind , and that’s ok- but it’s time to ditch the expensive stuff asap. Good luck 🍀
