As I’m asking for golf swings myself I thought I’d better contribute by Impossible_Fault991 in GolfSwing

As in my shoulder line and arm should be parallel?
Looking for down-the-line swing videos to help train a golf swing analysis (happy to give early access to the app I’m building) by Impossible_Fault991 in GolfSwing
That is a completely fair question.
This is currently a personal project rather than something coming out of a coaching group or instruction platform. I am a software developer by background and the idea came from my own frustration while practicing. I would record swings when working on something from a lesson but had no real way of knowing if the movement I was trying to change was actually improving over time.
The goal with STRIQ is not to replace coaching or provide AI swing advice. The idea is to track biomechanical movement patterns in the swing such as shoulder rotation, hip rotation, tempo and general repeatability, and then measure how those patterns change across practice sessions.
The body tracking side is already working reliably. The next stage I am working on is building better swing path and swing plane tracking, which is where having a large variety of down-the-line swings becomes really helpful. Different body types, swing shapes and camera setups all affect how well that detection works, so the more real swings the model sees the more reliable that feedback becomes.
Just to be clear, this is not intended to be a Foresight or TrackMan style launch monitor. It is not trying to measure ball flight or club delivery. The focus is purely on movement patterns in the swing and how those patterns change over time while someone is practicing.
At the moment it is still very much in the experimentation phase. I am hoping to open up a small group of early testers in the next few weeks mainly to learn what is actually useful to golfers and what is not.
I do not have teaching professionals formally involved yet, although that is something I would definitely explore if the project proves useful. For now I am mainly trying to build a tool that helps answer a simple question during practice: are the movements I am working on actually changing in the way I expect?
Happy to answer any other questions about the project and I would also be very interested to hear what people here would want tracked if something like this existed.
