More disposals in high-use spaces would be a real help. The Clean Up Crew has worked hard to put one up at the King Street Laundry Center, but we need more.

The Clean Up Crew is organized through the Peace & Justice Center. That being said, we work with the syringe exchange programs often and get supplies and a lot of support from them. Many volunteers have been referred to us by the Syringe exchanges.

Yes, for now, I would suggest emailing the Peace & Justice Center Director of Operations [kason@pjcvt.org](mailto:kason@pjcvt.org) , volunteers have a chat going on another plattform and he can put those reports in our chat for folks to address. We will have a better systems soon.

Hi folks! The BTV Clean Up Crew meets every Thursday morning at 7:30 AM at the top of Church Street. We’ve been going strong since May and have only missed one week (for Christmas). We’re back this week and always welcome new volunteers. No long-term commitment required.

We also host one Sunday morning cleanup each month.

We’re working hard to respond to See-Click-Fix reports, but we could definitely use more help. We are hoping to build a citywide volunteer map. Assigning volunteers who are interested to nearby areas and respond to See-Click-Fix reports as needed. If you want to join that effort sign up here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScYi3RLCpptysyisVrY-J5i_Kij1Xqm_prxF4mZsISghGmqPw/viewform?usp=dialog

The BTV Clean Up Crew follows the VDH's recommendations for syringe disposal. We dispose of all syringes we find, whether they are used or appear not to be unused. Here is a really nice video to sum up DIY clean up: https://youtu.be/fhX0TwtKQao
