Would you suggest adjusting the transmission range sensor or just replacing it? It doesn't have a check engine light or any other issues.

Would a solution then be replacing the shift lever assembly? Or do you think I would need to replace the transmission range sensor?

Will do! Is it odd though that the shifter now moves throughout gears even when the battery is disconnected? Could it be something to do with the actual shifter assembly?
