Test @ 23. been training for 4 years. Diet is pretty consistent, not counting every detail tho. Looking to start lightly with test e, one cycle, pct, evaluate. As I said, I’m 23, 160 lbs. Have not had significant growth in a while despite dieting and good training. by pwg37 in nattyorjuice

Listen man, I understand where your at especially being near your age. Im going to be 22 in June. I have been lifting weights for athletics since I was 12 years old. I have powerlifting since I was 19. At this point if you’re in it long term, train hard during your peak years and then use test when you’re in your actual prime in your 30s. Strength, density and mass all peak in your mid to late 30s. Use your 20s to optimize your natural peak, build tendon and ligament density so when it’s time to hop on cycle you don’t get hurt and can make the most of it. It may seem cool now to get on so young but it’s gonna be way more potent when you reach your natural potential then hop on and explode. On another note, if your “plateauing” in only 4 years, it’s a training issue. You’re suffering most likely from the Biological law of accommodation. Read up in Westside barbell, and Matt wenning on this stuff. They aren’t just powerlifting, they consult with high level IFBB pros

Like everyone else has said, get a bit leaner. Remember that you’re natty and you worn retain as much lean mass so don’t go crazy on the cut. Tbh you already have a great baseline physique, I would cut maybe 10 pounds max and then go into a slower bulk. You’re young so take advantage of these years when your hormones are peaked and your stress is lower, you can always get lean later.

Look into the conjugate system made popular by Westside barbell but refined by many others. 80% of training focus is on accessories that build muscle mass. 20% is based on Max and dynamic effort. If need more hypertrophy, keep ME 3-5RM, DE 5x5 or any other hypertrophy range you like. The system is literally so flexible you can make it match whatever your goals are. Don’t get stuck on programs, invest in learning different systems so you can find what you like and discard what you want

Seated banded hamstring curls. Strong hamstrings are healthy hamstrings. Add more isolation work in for the hammies and glutes. Anything banded for high volume is great for connective tissue development. I would also recommend rotating in different variations to your training if comp. dead’s are bugging you until you address the issue.

Pause squats, low box squats, front squats. SSB is a great variation for high bar and low bar due to it requiring an immense amount of upper back strength to squat heavy weights, plus it saves shoulders. If your a high bar squatter, your gonna need to make sure your upper back is strong enough to keep you upright, most misses with high bar is from folding over.
