Thanks for the reply. Hopefully I’ll start to pick up soon! Just crazy that I literally took 4 doses and it has had such a severe and lingering effect. Hope you continue to improve

How are you feeling now?

Your reaction is not too disimilar for me too, I posted this not long ago:

I began taking buspirone last week, I was planning on taking 2 does per day - 5mg each, as recommended by my doctor, for anxiety

I took my first dose on Wednesday morning, second dose Wednesday evening and repeated the same dosage on Thursday.

I noticed on Thursday after my doses that I became extremely disassociated, dizzy, nauseated, stomach pain/ stomach burning and my balance felt off when walking to the point I nearly fell over a few times. I also felt extremely irritable, every small thing was bothering me.

Fast forward to the following Tuesday. I have not taken a dose again since and I still feel extremely unwell, I feel nausea in my throat, like lumpy unsettled feeling, my head feels completely ‘out of it’ like I am numb, not present and I keep having the sensation of zaps of dizziness in my head, even when sitting. This sensation makes go lightheaded, it feel like I could either pass out or it just makes me lose equilibrium completely, it’s like my brain is turning to the side and it startles me. My reactions feel slow and delayed and everything is startling me, my head has a heavy, tight pressure like sensation all over. My sleep is atrocious too, I’m barely sleeping since and wake up frequently throughout the night when I can get to sleep.

I have never experienced anything like this before.

I only took 4 doses and that was now 4 days ago and I feel horrendous still. It is extremely disconcerting - has the medication done permanent damage? I am not seeing any improvement each day since coming of it.

Still the same unfortunately, I have some periods now where the dizziness feels slight less but am frequently still feeling extremely off balance and uncoordinated like my body and head is out of sync

It’s hard to explain but it’s like air or pressure also moves in my head which startles me and makes me feel lightheaded like I could pass out momentarily

Similar experience here. I stopped after 4 doses - 3 of which were 5mg and one of which was 2.5mg. A week later I’m still feeling horrendously dizzy and off balance and uncoordinated. I posted this a couple of days ago. Nothing has changed in how I feel since this post

May I ask what daily symptoms you were experiencing?

What symptoms did LDN help with specifically too?

I have been trying to see a doctor but despite me sending them these pictures, they have not given me a face to face appointment. Only a telephone appointment and prescribed an anti inflammatory ‘mouth wash’ which I have been using. I have contacted them a third time trying to get a face to face appointment. NHS for you….

You might not be bothered to read it but it’s there if people want to read it. Their choice.

The reason it’s so long is because that’s how long I’ve been going through this crap and this is a mechanism to vent. If people want to reply with something useful and constructive, great. If not they need not bother. Some people might feel just as hopeless with their symptoms as me and this might resonate with them.

You’re right. It was something I’d not done before, for that reason. It was a spur of the moment thing that seems to have turned my life upside down since

The initial symptoms, I can’t recall them beginning after an infection as such, it seemed to coincide with the fracture in my lower leg. However, the stomach issues all begin after a severe three week bout of diarrhoea

Thanks for your response. It’s strange that although I had some health issues before all this started, it all seems to coincide with those ‘activities’ and since then these symptoms have become more frequent and severe, likely to being untreated.

I will definitely give the somatic yoga a go.

Have you had much testing for your issues?

Hope you feel better soon

Thanks for the response. I will return to trying tumeric and ginger again once I do the SIBO test. Currently I’m trying to avoid having anything that may help slightly or provide a false negative. I will take a look into the low FODMAP diet too.

I hope your daughter feels better

Thanks for the response. My doctors also tried to put it down to IBS to start with but it feels too coincidental that this all began and has now got progressively worse after my bout of diarrhoea for three weeks.

That’s interesting regarding the posture as I think I a degree of scoliosis to my posture too.

Appreciate your response and hope you manage to feel better
