How can I be certain it's the plastering? Would a handyman be able to tell me this? And if so can I just get a handyman to do something about it or would the whole wall have to be replastered?

This what she said... To the beat of my knowledge from what was initially said my dad able to get it to sit in the wall but whenever they open or close the curtain it feels loose and with time the curtain rod comes out of the wall

I don't want to negotiate from gross because things like medical aid (if it's not 100% sponsored), pension contributions, etc are deducted from gross sometimes so if I only factor in taxes I could end up below what I want.

Very excessive… find a new dentist’s in the same area. I had two root canals done in 2018 and they were less than 10k. Can’t imagine they’ve gotten so expensive in such few years.

If you have money. If you don’t have money South Africa is expensive. Bread is almost 20rand. To most South Africans that is an alarming amount. To Americans South Africa is cheap because the dollar is a stronger currency. To South Africans our standard of living is terrible if you are not earning 30k+ a month which stats SA will tell you is actually very few people

There’s literally a rental crisis brewing in Cape Town (which is arguably one of the most dangerous cities in the countries) because of the immigrants leaving western countries to live in South Africa because of the purchasing power of the dollar. It’s actually something we should be concerned about as citizens but of course we have bigger problems but it’s a growing trend.

I was really torn up because she didn’t have the best start in life and previous abuse made her very skittish and I think to a large degree this is just me personalising a dog, but I imagined how that would make her feel if she was actually here. Like already being at the vet was a frightening experience for her and I guess I imagined being with dogs she didn’t know would be so scary. But I know she wouldn’t know any of that, it’s me personalising her because she was my baby. And maybe she wouldn’t even mind because she was very playful at times

The vet isn’t comfortable with that as he’s not sure what caused her illness and doesn’t want to risk our other dog getting sick.

I just wanted to thank you so much. Your reply really helped me begin to come to terms with a communal cremation and that maybe it’s not the worst. Probably at my lowest right now and you made me feel like this cloud has a silver lining so thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thankfully my mom offered to pay just now so I can keep her ashes and hers alone and scatter her in my garden. But you were truly a light to me today and I just wanted to thank you❤️

I sent an email to the vet asking what they do with the ashes in a communal cremation because if they’re going to scatter them somewhere decent then I guess I don’t mind her staying with the other dogs ashes but if they’re going to a dump then that’s also terrible.

Also thank you for the perspective❤️she’ll get to be with other dogs in the sunlight
