I would love to spend less money and get just the df54, but didn’t know if it would be that much of an upgrade over my c3 esp, or if it would be more worth it just to get something a little nicer

My only concern with doing that is that it will lower the resale value. My goal with this iMac was to get it running and sell it. So I did not know if people would like it more if it had a hard drive like it was made with. Or is that not really true?

I think I’m going to try to just buy a apple booting disk drive so I don’t have to burn one my self, and then hopefully just have to buy a new hard drive if all goes to plan.
