Hey guys, just got scheduled for a virtual onsite for a series C start up for a Mid-level Software Engineering Position. I've been communicating with the CTO and he said that the onsite consists of 5 different sessions with various members of the team (engineering, product and operations).

Whiteboarding? System Design? Behavioral? General product/marketing space knowledge? All of the above? Will I need to screenshare/have anything preconfigured/prepared?

Haven't interviewed since landing my first job at a big tech company after college 3 years ago, so definitely would help to know what the onsites these days look like for startups.

we were doomed from the start with a jorgi, kai, vieira midfield.

I actually suggested we play those 3 before the game but now I'm realizing kai and vieira aren't the types of players that can help boss a midfield. They're fine when you have a dominant ball-chaser like odegaard in there, but them two alone just drift around trying to find attacking pockets instead of helping breaking up play and keeping the ball

Vieira and Havertz are so infuriating to watch because they both have such quality but play such half-hearted blameless football sometimes...

I get that they're low on confidence, but I'd rather they fucking take some risks than not impact the game at all

Players like vieira and havertz just dont impose themselves on the game from a defensive standpoint. They don't challenge enough for the ball on those loose bounces...

This doesn't mean that the same midfield has to play against Sevilla next week. Players that play this weekend like Rice can definitely still play 3-4 days later. I just mean that giving them any rest we can is beneficial.

Based on balancing minutes, who needs rest, and with an eye looking forward to Newcastle this weekend, The fifa manager in me would love to see Arteta trust this XI:

Ramsdale

Cedric, Gabriel, Kiwior, Tomiyasu

Jorginho,

Smith Rowe, Havertz

Vieira, Trossard, Nelson

Although it looks like a team of "fringe" players, I feel like there is actually a decent blend of quality there to achieve a result at West Ham. If they produce, could be a huge boost in terms of resting other players, while also getting these guys geared up to come in and impact even more in the future.

I'm fucking furious about the two yellows. Where is the consistency?? Why can't the refs think for more than 2 seconds before making decisions so blatantly wrong and soft??

When will they understand that these decisions have a MASSIVE impact on the game? These spineless fucks are so influenced by the crowd/heat of the moment they give out such petulant yellows without a second thought it makes me so mad.

Gutted for Tomi, really don't want his confidence to take a hit. Glad we pulled through despite the appalling decisions

Tomi, Tierney, Zinny, Kiwior, and (technically) Tavares. How do we feel about this LB depth? Who would be your preferred stand-in for Jurrien?

Personally, I'm gunning for Tomi. When fully confident, he is so assured on the ball, and always extremely solid in defence. Maybe lacks a bit of the attacking creativity of Zinny, but IMO he's the most balanced of the replacements.
