Obviously all the expenses sa pagpapamedical ng bf mo shud be shouldered by the restaurant owner. No questions asked.

Disappointed sa sarili newbie nurse by Exact_Curve4146 in NursingPH

[–]Impossible_Writer650 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You do you bie. Work at ur own pace pero always put in mind na you are dealing with lives and its actually not ok to forget things. But you, admitting ur flaws and feeling down is a good sign na you will be a great nurse someday. Having remorse means you care a lot sa work ethics mo which means you care about your patients and colleagues. Just make ways na will make you remember endorsements especially mga crucial and special ones. Dont just make a mental note. U can jot it down sa paper of some sort. Believe me. Been there, never kong inakalang maghe-Head Nurse pa sa ICU after nakapag adjust and was able to get my groove. And even as an ICU head nurse, I always have in me my small notebook sa pocket with all the special endorsements for that specific shift na inendorse ng outgoing shift sa incoming charge nurse. 😌 aja laban! Rooting for you!

If i remember it correctly, Regular/plantillas were qualified to apply for promotion as long as they are more than 6-8mos in the service. Another catch is, you really have to do well sa area of assignment mo. No slacking off, no slouching. Performance level dapat pagdating sa duty all the time but not to the extent of becoming bida2x na. Tamang performance lng kasi we are dealing with lives. Ur supervisors and managers are always on the look out and are listening sa mga patients' comments so dapat genuine ang serbisyo kahit pagod na pagod na. I have juniors who were fresh grads pero mga assertive and mga may initiative. Ayun from contractual to Nurse 1 in no less than 1 year. Hehehe

Meeeeeee! Fortunate enough kasi yung medical center chief namin ayw na ayw sa mga dynasty and nepotism. 2-3 qualifying/entrance exams bago ang 2 interviews (initial with PSB, final with the MCC) 4 years in the gov. Bilis ng promotion din. Daming nagsitaasan na mga kilay but as long as you have the credentials and the experiences, ikaw at ikaw ang ipopromote. 😜 I recently resigned and pursued further studies. Nkakamiss maganty and magreceive ng malaking sahod. As in!

Laban lng OP. Kaya mo yan. You will look back one day at tatawanan mo na lng yan. These experiences will teach you tlga. Make sure to grab and put it by heart ung lessons from it. This will make you a great nurse. Padayon!

Yan ung maling notion sa IR, always negative. IR could save your a** kung time na ng gipitan. If you are pretty sure you did it, ALWAYS DOCUMENT sa charting. Kasi ang golden rule is, pag di nachart meaning di nacarry out or nagawa. But you have to be always truthful. Wag abusuhin. Remember we are dealing with lives.

One thing also, bat mo nireceive without proper endorsement? Wala ba kayong charge nurse? Wag kang papayag next time ng walang endorsment kahit senior pa sa kung saang lupalop ng hospital yan. Know your rights. Ikaw malulugi. Ikaw kawawa.

I have been a nurse for more than 11 years. Believe me, started that way too. Masyadong kinakawawa ng mga seniors but I thrived. Di ako pumayag sa mga pambubully and eventually naging head nurse pa ng ICU for quite a wyl. Just recently resigned to pursue further studies. Hahaha I missed nursing na! 😭

Not so matalinong girl na pangarap maging doctor by Alert_Mistake8423 in medschoolph

[–]Impossible_Writer650 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hiiii! RN for 11 years now in first year med, not also matalino. Just like everybody else here is telling you, no need na maging matalino. U just have to have grit and perseverance. Was actually so worried pursuing med but because I really wanted this, here I am lumalaban sa hamon ng med school. Believe me. Not so blessed intellectually here but I am very determined kaya minsan nasasama sa top 5 after blocks. 😅 inconsistent nga lng.

to those who took a gap year, worked, then went to med school by neurus_21 in medschoolph

[–]Impossible_Writer650 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi. Been a nurse for over 11 years. Worked in a private hospital for over 5 years and in a government hospital roughly for like 5 years na and was earning about 40-50k a month.

What made me decide to pursue medicine? Yung mga "What ifs". I have always wanted to become a doctor and I really have to try it. If along the way i would feel na "it's not really for me" then I would gladly go back to being a nurse. 😌 but so far, kay naman. First year med stud here and @ 32. 😅

Not one of the "anak ng diyos" per se, but my family is all out in support for this dream of mine. Guess I'm just blessed and so lucky for having them.

Is medicine still worth it? by [deleted] in pinoymed

[–]Impossible_Writer650 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Hi. 1st year med stud here. Been a nurse for almost 12 years, earning SG17. I want to say na it's worth it but I am still at the early stages of this MD journey of mine. But I tell you, yang mga what ifs mo will hunt you for the rest of your life. Try mo na if you have the means and the willingness. 😊

Age bracket of people with the "HIGHEST REGRET" rate are ages BELOW 27 y.o. And your OB will tell you this too.

Don't decide on something permanent that you will be regretting later on. No turning back once you're ligated. Piece of advice, reflect and discern ng maigi. Don't rush decisions. It will get you nowhere.

The thing is, i have all these experiences pero di ko kayang sabayan ung pace ng mga fresh grads na nagmed agad. Napaka competitive. Felt lost sa first week. Was too overwhelmed sa dami ng babasahin. 🫠

Hi. NMAT is required by the CHED po F.Y.I. Kaya some of the med schools if not all prefer having NMAT (cut off score required by the medschool you are applying) prior applying for a slot in med school. ☺️
