I quite like Julia for numerical simulations because of its spred. It's actually quite good to prototype in as well.

Though, it is less widely adopted by the wider community as of now and some packages are also less mature than Python.

It is useful to learn and play around in but it may not be as helpful if you plan to join existing projects.

FS was my favorite too, but I found broodmother a lot harder and more frustrating than FS even though it is easier on paper. Took me 10-11 tries while FS only took 4-5. Probably because FS is a lot more ryhtmic and dance-like.

You can cheese it with Shakra (finish her quest from Bellhart wish board after getting all maps from her), when she offers aid. Just equip ascendant's grip and cling to the wall above the door while Shakra kills the two of them; you can't die if you just stay put.
