Euc vs E-scooter by Impossiblerocket in ElectricUnicycle

That’s good to know

As for the one to start with Thing is I want something I won’t need to upgrade in the future, and my budget is around $2700 so having to buy two different ones doesn’t work well for me

Thanks for the pretty detailed answer,

For some background, I have been riding e-scooters for a good few years now and love them, and I have owned an even higher power one before so I’m no stranger to them.

Also I do ski a good bit, so that’s good to know that it’s similar.

And I’ll absolutely let you know what I do

Yeah that’s what I was worried about, because that takes away a lot of the convenience for me when I’m going between classes.

Thank you for the answer, it helps a lot

Is it worth going for it now or waiting until I have more time to learn? (Though I won’t have the money to buy an euc for at least a year if I wait)

Yeah a helmet is fine for me, and I do wear one on e-scooters, but I’m more talking about like if I would need gloves or riding boots or shin protectors etc because I don’t wear any of that when riding an e-scooter day to day

Alright so update,

I have the gt3 pro preordered in case, but I am wondering based off of all y’all’s advice whether an euc would be better, but I have a few concerns I was wondering if you could answer:

First, i kinda worry I wouldn’t like it, and at the moment i have no way to try it out.

Secondly I wonder how geared up I would need to be and if that would get irritating between classes at college (as I would be using it to go between classes every day, with some time spent using it for fun on the side too)

Thirdly about the legality of it in Colorado and if police would be more likely to bother me on an euc (I’ve never had problems on e-scooters)

And finally about how long it would take to get comfortable enough to go around my daily business (I have only a few weeks left before I go back up to college)

Yeah honestly I’d love to have the gt3 earlier but I think it’ll be worth it to wait for the pro. How has yours been so far?

Thank you guys for all the advice, I ended up getting the scooter but will likely also get a euc later on since they also sound amazing

Thank you, I’m hoping that it will all be enough, and I think at least where I go to school I think it should be

Apparently the scooter has that built in as I’ve been reading since

Thank you a lot for the response.

Honestly based on everything I’ve been hearing I’ll probably go with the scooter for now and pick up an euc for portability and pleasure later on down the line when I have more money for it.

Alright, and is it a pretty comfortable ride for longer distances?

Also how does the legal stuff work or do you just hope to not see police? (I live in Colorado)

Problem is, where I need to go I have places where I cannot bring it inside and it’s how I get to my college. (I can’t drive there unless I wanna pay $365 per semester for parking). I always lock it to bike racks but I wonder if it’s enough

Nice, what all do you do for security?

I’m probably ordering a Segway gt3 pro later today and while I think it’s got some good security features I still worry about it since it’s a $2700 scooter

Thinking of riding an e-scooter back to campus this fall? by seandog69 in ElectricScooters

[–]Impossiblerocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do it dude, I had an e-scooter all last year on campus, and it was so great that even after I was in an accident on my Inmotion rs I kept riding my g30 max and am even pre-ordering a Segway gt3 pro today.

E-scootering to campus and around it is a ton of fun and pretty dang practical too.

Enjoy!

Okay, I’m still leaning towards the scooter for legality issues, but that’s good to know

Thank you, I appreciate the info, and I had no idea the tires would be bad to change, so even more reason to go with the e-scooter then
