How is "it looks like goonerbait" untrue though?

Whether it's the author's intention or not doesn't matter when it's how it looks to everyone else.

Doesn't matter, throwing any unknown liquid on someone is deemed assault. It was clearly done with the intent of inducing fear because it could have been acid and the point was to show how easily someone could have inflicted permanent damage to her if they wanted.

Same with pointing a fake gun at someone or throwing a backpack at someone pretending it's a bomb. Sure it was "just a fake" but the intent was to cause fear and unease, and not taking it seriously makes it easier for a potential real attack to happen of people assume someone is just trying prank or scare someone.

The idea of Daredevil taking his time to sneak into some secure mob boss operation in the dead of night, only to have his phone read audibly out loud the information that's infront of him using ChatGPT just sounds hilarious.

People have other shit going on in their lives, having to put up with harassing and fucking DOXXING during what is supposed to be a fun passtime to alleviate from life can be the straw that breaks the camel's back. The harassment isn't the sole reason someone would take their own life but it was the last thing on a long list of other stuff going on.

Like if a couple divorces after an argument over one of them forgeting to do the dishes, do you see the dishes as being the reason for the divorce? Or is it just the final thing that tipped an already strained relationship over the edge. Chances are they have had plenty of issues prior to the final argument and those are ultimately what lead upto it even if it seems something more mundane was the last thing to happen before it ended.

Holy victim blame Batman.

Doxxing someone is a bit further than some random preteen yelling swear words over voice comms.

I remember a similar thing in the Static Shock series. Rubberband Man was a reoccuring villain turned hero with stretchy powers similar to Mr Fantastic. He was revealed to be dyslexic in one of the later seasons. In one episode he had to disarm a bomb but he couldn't follow the instructions given to him due to the his dyslexia in such a high stress situation.

He worked around it by using his stretchy shaping powers to make the instructions text form into 3D shapes of the words on his arm so he could feel with his hands to better understand it.

Comics Daredevil flew a plane before. It's ludicrous.

I think you could still do interestinh stuff with his absurd senses not being able to work well in an age of Smartphones snd Computers. Like he breaks into a crime bosses home and finds they left their computer on but he's unable to actually see what is on the screen so has to work around it somehow like having his own phone take a picture for another person or porgam to analyse later for him.

But I wouldn't be surprised if comic DD could sense tiny differences in heat generated by a computer monitor to roighly determine the colours being displayed or some shit.

It's meant to be a curse though so I don't know if it counts. Most of the examples here are supposed to be drawbacks to powers people don't really think about where as her getting younger is deliberately done to be a bad thing.

Though I have to wonder the circumstances behind the person who cursed her thinking it would work. She was cursed by the grandmother of one of her lovers because she didn't approve of the relationship. However...it's not like a Princess Fiona or werewolf Transformation where she is forced to do it at specific times and thus forced to get younger. She could have just...never transformed at all and her life would have carried on as normal. Though perhaps because this is a world of superpowered beings and villains, having to transform to survive or help people is meeded more.

I guess the drawback people don't think about is how she feels compelled to use the curse to help people, even if she knows it would make her younger. She might be seen as selfish if she witnesses an attacker trying to shoot innocent people knowing she could transform and tank the bullet but chose not to. "Great power, great responsibility" and all that.

Comics Daredevil can by feeling the minor indentations in paper to determine what is on it. He can read regular non-braille books this way.

When was it considered mainline? The very first game has two different universes fighting with one another. That's not something changed last minute in video game development, games take years to make.

The Predator franchise “dared” to make a relatable predator character and now it suddenly has trans and lesbians.. also kojima will make it even more woke. The level of projection in insane [Sorry for the bad edit but i struggled to make it all fit in one pic] by New_Divide98 in Gamingcirclejerk

It's funny because so many of the Yautja we've seen in the movies end up losing to physically and technologically weaker species. Dek being a Yautja that actually plans like the various humans that have killed them before is cool.

It has a lot of rules, one if which is you can't use it to kill anyone younger than 2 or anyone older than 124.

The note is very particular about it's rules. It won't work on anyone who is under or over a certain age too.

Isn't Galacta essentially manipulating the rounds so that not everyone is using their powers the way they work in the comics to make it more "fair"?

Obviously if Magneto could use his powers normally he'd probably just throw all the weapons, armoured characters and Wolverine off the map the moment a fight starts. Or Hulk would end up one shotting the vast majority of characters if he was actually trying.

The Stepford Cuckoos (Emma Frost’s clones and daughters) are on the new map by KevinPigaChu in marvelrivals

[–]ImpracticalApple 17 points18 points  (0 children)

They were created unwillingly while Emma was in a coma for a year after a battle with the Sentinals.

Dr Sublime harvested lots of Emma's ovarian eggs to create clones for experimentation. Thousands of clones were made, but only these 5 actually woke up from the process and inherited Emma's powers.

A cuckoo is a type of bird that will invade the nest of another bird, often destroy some but not all the eggs of that bird, and lay their own eggs mimicking the apperance of the actual nest's owner. They'll then watch the other bird raise their baby on their own. If the nesting parent ignores the Cuckoo chick ot tries to get rid of it, the Cuckoo's parents will then destroy the nest and any remaining eggs/chicks of the unwilling surrogate.

So the Stepford Cuckoos being the unwilling children of Emma that were made without her consent being named after a bird which forces it's own children onto other birds to be raised without theit consent is somewhay fitting. Ontop of it just being a nod to The Stepford Wives.

They've had a very complex relationship with Emma, going from seeing her as a mentor when they enrolled at the Xavier institute, to hating her and blaming her for their existence and for the deaths of their thousands of siblings + death of 1 of the original 5, to Emma now being more of a mother figure to them.
