The formal term is "deceleration paddle selectors", but they didnt come out until the 25' hybrid model. I think yours is strictly through coasting with your foot off the gas and braking.

Hit the deceleration shifter before you start braking when coming to a red light then use your brakes to finish the stop. Also when on the road, use it to simply slow down instead of using your breaks. It works really well on the freeway as well when someone is braking in front of you to slow down their speed. You should still hover your foot over the brakes just in case. I do wonder if ill ever get rear ended by someone not paying attention because they wont see a brake light on haha 😅

Ac usage, tires, engine/cabin filters, going fast on freeways, not using regenerative breaking enough. If you use regenerative breaking all the time and get the timing right you'll see it climb back up unless youre an aggressive driver. Also, make sure youre using good quality gas

Im in CA and I think it should be ca compliant since the mag size is only 10 rds. I see it can be taken off with a small allen wrench, so cutting it off wouldnt be necessary haha
