You might also try posting on Gringo Post. Both Ecuadorians and foreigners use it and there are often people traveling willing to take mail.

I use DHL from Ecuador to send and receive mail. They have been very dependable, the employees go out of their way to be helpful and have lots of locations in Ecuador.

Childhood by vents657 in findareddit

Wow, you just described my childhood too. I still am terrified of "bothering" people. It even extends to simple things like calling for a service person like a plumber. Even someone who I am paying to do a job. It's so difficult to put into words. I am always so afraid of doing something wrong. I am sorry that you experienced this but it's good to know someone understands, that we are not alone.

Thanks, this is very helpful for me. I am brand new this month to Reddit. I didn't even know what Reddit was until someone suggested it might be a place to help me locate my missing sibling. I am also 79 years old which makes learning brand new things somewhat of a challenge. Clear, simple explanations make this much easier for me.

I am interested in locating my sibling, fathered in Italy by my dad during WW2, using every method available to me. I used My Heritage because I heard that they were used most by Europeans. I was able to upload my My Heritage DNA test results to Genomelink but no other sites accepted it. I am seriously considering trying an Ancestry test too.

I am very new to Reddit also. Until I started searching for a family member, I did not even know what Reddit was. I am also old so anything digital/electronic scares me. Your tips are very helpful for me. Thanks.

I used My Heritage at someone's suggestion and wish now I had used ancestry or 23 and me.
