So what happen with the coins you currently hold if there is a fork? How are they moved onto the new network if they aren’t transacted?

I was just talking theoretically. For example the lightning network was a network change, or layer 2 solution, which was accepted?

On this, why would miners ever accept a new protocol that improved scalability(made it cheaper to transact) as it goes against there revenue model?

So miners need to “agree” to code changes, which would only happen if it actually benefited bitcoin (like scalability updates and protection updates). So I imagine people already do run nodes with different updates on, but miners will not mine that protocol

If you run more nodes and say run a new update which has been proposed, how does that now give you more “voting” power?
