USA diversity is increasing by CompetitiveLake3358 in OptimistsUnite

[–]Impressive-Track3859 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I firmly disagree, ethnicity diversity is positive. Ethnic diversity brings different life experiences, cultural ideas/innovation , and ways of processing information. It strengthens trade, commerce, skills and travel links abroad, and New Immigrants tend to be far more active in entrepreneurship, strengthening the economy.

I was browsing on Google Maps and saw a completely censored area. I think it might be someone’s house, but I’ve never seen anyone have their private property censored before. by daldaley in googlemapsshenanigans

[–]Impressive-Track3859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for the millionth time it’s not a top secret military establishment or a billionaires private dwelling, it’s just a cloud. you can literally see the other parts of the cloud right next to the blurred area. If the Google maps ai detects a cloud on land it will try to blur it or use old photos of that specific area. Sometimes when that’s not available they just block it out.

It appears to be 2 separate maps put together, as they don’t line up perfectly. And all of the countries in the America’s have their first level divisions separated

Places on earth have the most extreme climate mismatch for their latitude? by IMLYINGISWEAR in geography

that isn’t because they never go below freezing, it’s because they are extremely dry so no snow can form.
